1.Expalaining the new lesson
Abai Kunanbaev.
( 1845-1904) Abai was a great Kazakh poet, musician and writer. He was born in Abai settlement near the city of Semey. His father Kunanbai was very strict. But his mother Ulzhan and grandmother Zere were kind, warm-hearted and good-natured people. They were good story-tellers, too. They told little Abai a lot of interesting stories, tales and legends of Kazakh people.
Abay was born in what is today the selo of Karauyl, in Abai district, East Kazakhstan. The son of Qunanbay and Uljan, Qunanbay's second wife, they named him Ibrahim, but because of his brightness, he soon was given the nickname "Abay" (meaning "careful"), a name that stuck for the rest of his life. His father's economic status enabled the boy to attend a Russian school in his youth, but only after he had already spent some years studying at a madrasah with Imam Ahmet Ryza.At his school in , Abay translated the works of Mikhail Lermontev and Alexsander Pushkin.
Abish Kekilbayev : (6 December 1939 – 11 December 2015),[1] public and political figure, Hero of Labor, National writer of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize, a philologist, academician of the Academy of Social Sciences, Emeritus Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and of the L. Gumilyov Eurasian State University.[2].In 1962 Abish Kekilbayev graduated from the philological faculty of the S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University.In the Soviet period he served as the deputy minister of culture of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic, the second secretary of board of the Union of writers, the head of department of the Central Committee of Communist Party of Kazakhstan, Head of the Records Office for Culture and Inter-Ethnic Relations of the Kazakh SSR Presidential Administration, the editor-in-chief of the Yegemen Kazakhstan newspaper, the literary employee of the Kazakh adebiety newspaper, the head of literature and art department of the Leninshyl zhas newspaper editorial office.
Abish Kekilbayev was elected Deputy of the Supreme Soviet (Council) of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the twelfth convocations, the chairman of Committee on national policy, cultural development and language of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Mukhtar Omarkhanuli Auezov (September 28, 1897 — June 27, 1961) was a Kazakh writer, a social activist, a Doctor of Philology, a professor and honored academic of the Soviet Union (1946). He was born on September 28, 1897 in the old town of Semey in Kaskabulak, where he spent all his childhood.
He grew up under the spiritual influence of the poet Abai. His father and grandfather Omarkhan Auez both highly revered the poet, a neighbor and friend of the family. His grandfather was a storyteller of folk tales, and taught his grandson to read and write, he also instilled within Mukhtar a love of literature, and the poetry of Abai.
- Life and family
Auezov was born into a nomadic family from what is today Abay District, in East Kazakhstan Province. His grandfather taught him to read and write. Auezov was then educated at the Semipalatinsk Teacher's Seminary and Leningrad State University.
Auezov is best known for his plays. The first play he authored was Enlik-Kebek, a story of two young lovers which bears a great resemblance to Romeo and Juliet. He authored more than twenty plays which dealt with issues relevant to Socialism in Kazakhstan.
After writing plays, Auezov changed his focus to writing novels. Two novels – Abay and The Path of Abay – dealing with the life of Kazakh poet Abay Qunanbayuli were the product of the last twenty years of his life.[2]
Auezov's other projects included drawing and translating literature into the Kazakh language. Some translations made by him include Nikolai Gogol's The Government Inspectorand Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.
Mukhtar first studied in Kaskabulak, then later a Muslim madrasa in Semipalatinsk. At age of eleven he moved to a nearby, five year grammar school. Mukhtar was extremely diligent and curious student who was respected by classmates and teachers.
Willam Shakespeare.William Shakespeare (baptised 26 April 1564 – died 23 April 1616) was an English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's preeminent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and the "Bard of Avon".His surviving works, including some collaborations, consist of 38 plays,154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and several other poems. His plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed more often than those of any other playwright.Shakespeare was born and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Daniel Defoe. Daniel Defoe , (c. 1659-1661 — 24 April 1731) born Daniel Foe, was an English writer, journalist, and pamphleteer, who gained enduring fame for his novel Robinson Crusoe. Defoe is notable for being one of the earliest proponents of the novel, as he helped to popularise the form in Britain, and is even referred to by some as one of the founders of the English novel. A prolific and versatile writer, he wrote more than five hundred books, pamphlets, and journals on various topics (including politics, crime, religion, marriage, psychology and the supernatural). He was also a pioneer of economic journalism
Charles John Huffam Dickens (7 February 1812 – 9 June 1870), pen-name "Boz", was the most popular English novelist of the Victorian era and one of the most popular of all time. He created some of literature's most memorable characters. His novels and short stories have never gone out of print.
