Of the intellectual competition “Who knows English best?»! Welcome to our intellectual competition! We are glad to see you we hope that you’ll enjoy today game. Nowadays it is very important to learn three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English. As you know there about 3 thousand languages in the world. English is the official languages of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of the USA, of Australia and New Zealand. English is used as one of the official languages in Canada, in the Irish Republic and the Republic of South Africa. It is also spoken as a second language in many parts of India and Africa. English is now dominant or official language in more than 60 countries in the world. It is a language of Internet and it has become the language of business, politics, science, communication.

II-Ж:Қайырлы күн құрметті қонақтар, оқытушылар, студенттер! «Қазақстан халқы бүкіл әлемде уш тілді пайдаланатын мәдениетті ел ретінде танылуға тиіс. Бұлар: қазақ тлі – мемлекеттік тіл, орыс тілі – ұлтаралық тіл және ағылшын тілі – жаһандық экономикаға ойдағыдай кірігу тілі».

Әлемде 3 мыңнан астам тілдер бар. Ағылшын тілі ең кең тараған тілдердің бірі. Ол көптеген елдерде мемлекеттік болып табылады. Ол Ұлы Британияның және Солтүстік Ирландияның, АҚШ – тың , Аустралияның және Жаңа Зеландияның мемлекеттік тілдің бірі болып келеді. Ағылшын тілі мемлекеттік тілдің бірі болып Канадада, Ирландия Республикасында және Оңтүстік Африкада қолданылады.

І. Ж: Let’s begin our competition, in this round each team calls your name, motto and introduce themselves.

І-Ж:Knowing foreign languages has a practical value. It ,akes us easer to choose a profession and provides a job promotion. Today there are a lot of people in Europe and Asia who know several languages. Cardinal Mwzzophanty who lived in the middle of the last century knew 100 languages. Professor Hesstermann from Germany knew 132 language.

I-Ж:The next round is to find the opposites of the words and we call this round «Antonyms».

You will be given the sheets of paper with adjectives/ Find the antonyms and translate them into Kazakh.

I-Ж: Now it is time to play and check your reaction. The game called True and False. There are two chairs one is true and other is false. You will hear some statement is true you will have to sit down on the true chair. If the statement is wrong you will have to run to the false chair/ we need two players from different teams for one statement/ (more right answers give more points).

9 If you can тое translate the word if you want understand it is meaning if you want to check the pronunciation of the word – you look up this word in it. (сөздік-словарь-a dictionary)

I-Ж:“Music is universal language of the world” says Longfellow, so while the judges will give the teams the marks let’s listen the song and enjoy it.
