Aims: 1) to work on lexics;

2) to train monologue skills.

Equipments: the blackboard, the pictures on the topic “Hobby”,

The procedure of the lesson.

1. Org. moment:

   • Good afternoon, dear boys and girls!

   • Good afternoon teacher!

   • I’m glad to see you!

   • We’re glad to see you too!

1. – Today we shall do different exercises and train our monologue speech.

2. Phonetic drill:

Let’s train our mouth

I dance on Sunday,

I work on Monday,

I read on Wednesday,

I count on Thursday,

I speak on Friday,

And I play on Saturday.

The children repeat after teacher.

1. The diagram “Hobby”:

- Now children tell me how do you understand the word hobby?

What kind of hobby do you know?

Ex. 13. p. 267

• what a hobby is;

• what hobbies you know;

• what things people usually collect;

• what your favourite hobby is.

T: Now please give me the definition of the word hobby.

P: (A hobby is something you very much like to do in your free time, such as making models, growing roses or collecting different things).

V. Look at the pictures and say what the children have collected: ex. 1 p. 268

VI. Look and say what Bob and his friends are fond of.

VII. Make up sentences about hobbies, which are true.

VIII. Complete my sentences:

IX. Let’s have a rest:

That’s what it’s all about.

X. We knew that everybody has their own hobby, and I’ll suggest to show us your home task. You must prepare at home a short stories about your hobby.
