Сценарий праздника на тему «CHRISTMASPARTY»
C H R I S T M A S P A R T Y
1. Teacher: Hello, dear colleagues and guest’s! I see you’re looking well and ready to take part in our Christmas Party. How kind of you to visit us. In return for this a «group of popular singers» will perform some folk songs. I hope everything will be fine. Will you enjoy Christmas Party!
2. Pupil 1: On the 25th of December there is the greatest holiday of all in England - Christmas. Christmas is a religion’s holiday one of the happiest holiday of the year, because it is the day that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
3. Pupil 2: The Christmas story comes from the Bible. Luke tells beautiful story of Shepherds who were watching their sheep when an angel appeared to them. He told them that a Savior had been born in Bethlehem.
4. Children sing the song:
O come, little children, O come, one and all
O come to the manger in Bethlehem’s stall,
And see the Lord Jesus asleep in the hay,
The little Lord Jesus was born Christmas Day.
5. Pupil 3: The baby Jesus was born in a stable. His mother was the Virgin Mary and his father was Joseph.
6. Children sing the song:
Still, still, still, still. The little Jesus sleeps
Tenderly his mother holds Him,
Near her heart She gently folds Him
Still, still, still, still. The little Jesus sleeps.
7. Pupil 4: Families prepare for this holiday weeks before. They make and buy gifts and send each other Christmas cards.
8. Pupil 5: Families come together to share their happiness, attend church and exchange gifts.
9. Pupil 6: The traditional English dinner on Christmas Day is roast turkey and Christmas pudding.
10. Children sing the song:
Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat
Please to put a penny in the old man’s hat
If you have no penny, a ha’ penny will do,
If you have no ha’ penny, then God bless you
11. Pupil 7: Children hang up stockings to receive gifts from Santa Claus. Schools usually have two weeks of vacation.
12. Pupil 8: Cities and towns, houses, schools, churches, shops and streets are decorated with Christmas trees, colored lights. During Christmas in Trafalgar Square there is a Christmas tree.
13. Children sing the song:
Oh, Christmas tree, Christmas tree,
How ever green your branches!
They’re green when summer days are bright
They’re green when winter snow is white

14. Pupil 9: The Queen’s speech is on television at 3 p.m. People wish each other a “Merry Christmas” during this holiday season.
15. Children sing the song:
We wish you a Merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let’s do a little clapping
For a Happy New Year
16. Pupil 10 recites the poem:
I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play, and wild and sweet
The world repeat of peace on earth good will to men
17. Dialogue:
Pupil 11: What is under the tree for John?
Pupil 12: Under the tree there are many toys: a car, a plane, a little house and so on.
Pupil 11: Is there also a doll?
Pupil 12: No, there is no doll for John. John is a boy. Dolls are only for little girls.
18. Pupil 13 recites the poem: Oh, winter time brings Christmas time
With all the household meetings
At home the merry children stay
And nothing do but laugh and play
Oh, Christmas time most happy time
To you all brings new greetings.
19. Children sing the song: The more we are together, together, together
The more we are together, the happier we shall be
For your friends are my friends
And my friends are your friends
The more we are together, the happier we shall be.
20. Knock at the door. Santa Claus: open the door, please.
Children: Who is at the door?
SC: It’s me Santa Claus.
Children: Welcome, welcome Santa Claus! Merry Christmas
SC: Thank you. I’ve got a bag full of presents for you.
Children: Oh, it’s great
SC: But first I have to ask some questions.
Children: Please, do it!
SC: Are there any lazy boys and girls among you?
Children: No, we have no lazy boys and girls in our group.
SC: Do you listen to your teachers?
Children: Yes, we do.
SC: Do you learn well in the school?
Children: Yes, we do.
SC: Do you love your parents?
Children: Yes, we do.
SC: Do you like English?
Children: Yes, we do.

Pupil A: English is the language of England?
SC: What does Britain mean?
Pupil B: Britain is the name of the whole country which consists of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
SC: Who knows another name of Northern Ireland?
Pupil C: Northern Ireland is also called Ulster.

English is the language of England. Besides England people use it in the USA, Australia, Canada and some other countries. The number of speakers is about 350 million. People study English as a foreign language in 56 countries. In Russia a lot of students study English in school, colleges and universities.
SC: Thank you very much. I see you are good children and I’ll give you some presents!
