«Jeopardy Game» («
образовательная: расширять лингвистический и общий кругозор учащихся на основе практического владения знаниями по теме «Великобритания и eё столица Лондон» в неформальной обстановке;
развивающая: развивать языковые, интеллектуальные и познавательные способности учащихся;
недостаточное количество иллюстративного и информационного материала в УМК;
повышение эффективности усвоения материала за счет одновременного изложения необходимых сведений и показа демонстрационных фрагментов (подача материала двумя способами: аудиально и визуально);
повышение мотивации к изучаемому предмету;
Round I.ppt, Round II.ppt) и финал (Final.ppt).
Good afternoon, everybody! Today we are going to have “Jeopardy Game”. I’m sure you know a lot about Great Britain, its customs and traditions, geography and history, holidays and about the capital of UK London. And now you will have a good opportunity to show your knowledge.
Three teams are taking part in our competition today. Let’s introduce our teams and their captains.
I’d like to remind you the rules. In the First Jeopardy round each of the five questions in the category is worth $100 to $500. The $100 questions are the easiest, and the questions get harder as they move up to the $500 ones. Each team has only 15 seconds to answer the question.
In the Second Jeopardy round, the amounts range from $200 to $1,000--double what they were in the First Jeopardy round.
Final Jeopardy is very different from the first two rounds. After the players see the category, they make a wager. Once they see the question, the teams have 30 seconds to write down their answer. Going from the player who has the least amount of money to the one with the highest, the players reveal their answers. If they are correct, the amount they wagered is added to their overall amount; if they are wrong, the amount they wagered is deducted from their total amount. Whoever has the highest amount of money at the end is the winner.
Before starting the game I’d like to introduce our jury who will be counting the amount of money you’ll earn.
