Своя игра для 6 класса

Внеклассное мероприятие «Своя игра» можно провести среди учащихся шестых классов на неделе иностранных языков в школе. Вопросы в игре разделены на 5 тем: «Великобритания», «Лондон», «Знаменитые люди», «Литература», «Праздники». В каждой теме по 5 вопросов стоимостью от 5 до 35 баллов. Для участия в игре не требуется углубленных знаний.

Мероприятие рассчитано на 45 минут.

Цели: развивать познавательный интерес учащихся к стране изучаемого языка, расширять кругозор учащихся, развивать навыки работы в группах.

Оборудование: компьютер, проектор, экран, презентация.

Ход мероприятия

Teacher: Good afternoon, girls and boys! Today we’ll play a game. There are 4 teams which will take part in our game. Now please give names to your teams.

We have 5 categories. Each category has 5 questions. The prices of the questions are from 5 to 25 points. It depends on the difficulty of the question. You must turn choose the category and points in English. You will have one minute to answer and get scores. Let’s start our game.

Great Britain

5 points. What is the official name of Great Britain? (The United Kingdom of

Great Britain and Northern Ireland)

10 points. One of the biggest stone circles in Europe. (Stonehenge)

15 points.What are the towns of Oxford and Cambridge famous for? (Their

Universities)

20 points. How do the British call their flag? (The Union Jack)

25 points.What is the national man’s costume in Scotland? ( The kilt)

5 points. What colour is the traditional London taxi? (Black)

10 points. What is a “double- decker”? (A bus)

15 points. It was a fortress, a palace, a prison and now it’s a museum. (Tower)

20 points. What is Madam Tussaud’s famous for? (For its wax figures of

famous people)

25 points. When did the Great Fire of London take place? (In 1666)

10 points. What is the hometown for the famous music band «The Beatles»?

15 points. Who wrote the poem “Romeo and Juliette”? (William Shakespeare)

Nelson)

25 points. He discovered the theory of gravitation (Sir Isaak Newton)

10 points. People buy presents and cards and send them to relatives and friends.

The traditional food is roast turkey and pudding. People decorate streets, rooms

and a tree. (Christmas)

15 points. When do British people celebrate Christmas? (On the 25th of

December)

20 points. On this day people give each other chocolate eggs (Easter)

25 points. People burn a doll made of straw. There are fireworks everywhere.
