What can we do for you, Mum?

What can we do for you, Mum?

What can we do for you, Mum?

What can we do for you?

What can we do? What can we do?

What can we do for you, Mum?

What can we do? What can we do?

What can we do for you?

Mother-Grasshopper:

What would you like to do, kids?

What would you like to do, kids?

What would you like to do, kids?

What would you like to do?

What would you like? What would you like?

What would you like to do, kids?

What would you like? What would you like?

What would you like to do, kids?

You’ve got so many talents.

How nice of you, how nice of you,

I’ll bake a cake for you.

Grasshopper 1: Mum, can you help us? This is Baby-Elephant. She is looking for her mother. We’ve got the portrait of her mother. Here it is. (Grasshopper shows the portrait of Mother-Elephant)

Mother-Grasshopper: Well, rosy cheeks… nice nose… and ears… No, I don’t know your mum. Perhaps Mother-Cat can help you, poor baby.

Three Little Kittens

(Mother Cat, three Kittens and 2 narrators come to the stage.)

Narrators: Three little kittens lost their mittens,

And they began to cry,

1st kitten: Oh, mother dear,

2nd kitten: We sadly fear

3d kitten: That we have lost our mittens.

Mother Cat:

What! Lost your mittens,

You naughty kittens!

Then you shall have no pie.

Mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow.

No, you shall have no pie.

Narrators: The three little kittens they found their mittens,

And they began to cry,

1st kitten: Oh, mother dear, see here, here,

2nd & 3d kittens: For we have found our mittens.

Mother Cat:

Found your mittens?

There are good kittens!

Now you shall have some pie.

Purr-r, purr-r, purr-r,

Oh, let us have some pie.

Narrators: The three little kittens put on their mittens,

And soon they ate up the pie;

Kittens: Oh, mother dear, we greatly fear

That we soiled our mittens.

Mother Cat:

What! Soiled your mittens,

You naughty kittens!

Narrators: Then they began to sigh.

Kittens: Mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow.

Narrators: Then they began to sigh.

Narrators: The three little kittens they washed their mittens,

And hung them out to dry;

Mother Cat:

What! Washed your mittens,

Then you’re good kittens!

But I smell a rat close by

Mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow.

We smell a rat close by.

Baby- Elephant: Mother-Cat, Mother-Cat, have you seen, my mother?

Mother-Cat: Who are you? Where is your mother?

Baby- Elephant: I’m Baby- Elephant. I’m looking for my mother. I’ve got her portrait.

Mother-Cat: Let me have a look at it. (Deep in thoughts) Rosy cheeks… nice nose… and ears… No, I haven’t met your mum. Perhaps Mother-Dog will help you.

Baby- Elephant: (on her way to Mother-Dog’s house sings a song)

(На мотив песенки мамонтенка из м/ф «Мама для мамонтенка»)

My mummy is waiting for me from afar

I’m sailing to meet her and say how I

Love to be with her ever and ever

With only one whom I shall care.

I fear no thunder, I fear no storm

I hate to be lonely and always alone

To feel her heart beating and loving

Is what keeps me strong while I’m coming.

To feel her heart beating and loving

Is what keeps me strong while I’m coming.

The Little Puppies.

(Mother-Dog, 4 puppies and the author come to the stage)

Author: One day a little brown puppy says to his mother,

Puppy 1: “Oh, Mother, look at my four little paws! One, two, three, four! What can I do with my four little paws?”

Mother Dog: “Oh, you little puppy, you can run with your paws!”

Author: The little puppy runs and runs and runs.

Author: Then a little white puppy says to his mother,

Puppy 2: “Oh, Mother, look at my two little eyes! One, two! What can I do with my two little eyes?”

Mother Dog: “Oh, you little puppy, you can see with your eyes!”

Puppy 2: Yes, I can see little ducks, I can see little chicks.

Author: Then a little black puppy says to his mother,

Puppy 3: “Oh, Mother, look at my two little ears! One, two! What can I do with my two little ears?”

Mother Dog: “Oh, you little puppy, you can hear with your ears!”

Puppy 3: Yes, yes, I can hear little ducks, I can hear little chicks.

Author: Then a little grey puppy says to his mother,

Puppy 4: “Oh, Mother, look at my little mouth! What can I do with my little mouth?”

Mother Dog: “Oh, you little puppy, you can eat a chick with your mouth!”

Puppies 1, 2, 3, 4: Yes, yes, we can eat a chick with our mouths. Oh, Mother, we see little chicks, we hear little chicks, and we can eat little chicks! But we don’t want to eat them, we want to play with them! (The four puppies chase the two chicks.)

Baby- Elephant: Mother-Dog, Mother-Dog, have you met my mummy?

Mother Dog: Oh, what a funny animal! Who are you? Who is your mother?

Baby- Elephant: I’m Baby- Elephant. I’m looking for my mother. Mother-Cat thinks you will help me. Could you have a look at her portrait?

Mother Dog: Let me see… Rosy cheeks… nice nose… and ears… No, no, I haven’t met your mum. But I know who will help you. It’s Mother-Goat. She knows everything about everybody. I’m sure she’ll help you.

Baby- Elephant: Where does she live?

Mother Dog: She lives in the middle of the forest. Go along this road and soon you’ll see her little house. But be careful! There is a wolf in the forest! He’s always hungry!

Baby- Elephant: Thank you, I will.

Seven Little Goats and the Wolf.

Mother-Goat: My dear children, I am going to the market to buy some cabbage and carrots for dinner. Set the table. And remember: you must be good and sit still, or the Wolf will hear you and come. (Mother-Goat puts on her hat, takes the basket and goes away.)
Little Goat 1 (laying the table):

Help your mother set the table

With a knife and fork and spoon.

Little Goat 2 (laying the table):

Help your mother set the table

Every afternoon.

Little Goat 3 (cleaning the table):

Help your mother clean the table

Take the knife and spoon.

Little Goat 4 ((cleaning the table)):

Help your mother clean the table

Morning, night and noon.

Little Goat 5: Ok, we’re ready. Let’s play hide-and-seek!

Little Goats 1, 2, 3, 4, 6: Hurray!

Little Goat 5: Hey, you, Baby-Goat, why are you gloomy? Come and play with us!

Little Goat 7: I don’t want to play! I want some ice-cream. But mummy won’t buy any, because I was naughty. Mummy doesn’t love me any longer…

Little Goat 5: Silly baby-goat, …

Who said you ‘Good night’

When you were a baby?

Little Goat 7: – My mother.

Little Goat 5: Who dressed your dolls in clothes so gay

And showed you often how to play?

Little Goat 7: My mother.

Little Goat 5: Who ran to help you when you fell

And who could funny stories tell?

Little Goat 7: - My mother.

Little Goat 5: Who sits at your head when you’re in bed?

Little Goat 7: My mother.

Little Goat 5: Who is so nice, who is so kind

Another so dear you will never find?

Little Goat 7: – My mother.

Little Goat 5: Stop crying, Baby-goat, let’s play!

Little Goat 7: OK! (The two goats run away laughing.)

(The Wolf comes up to the door and hears the noise.)

Wolf: Mother Goat is not at home. I shall go into the house and take all her little goats. What a good supper I shall have!

(The wolf knocks on the door.)

Little Goats 1, 2: Who is there by the door?

Wolf: It’s me, your mother. Open the door, my little goats. I have brought you cabbage for dinner.

Little Goats 1, 2: Show us your hoof through the window.

(The wolf shows his paw.)

Little Goats 1, 2: That is not our Mother’s hoof. Her hoof is as white as snow. We shall not open the door to you. Go away.

(The wolf knocks again.)

Little Goats 3, 4: Who is there by the door?

Wolf: It’s me, your mother. Open the door, my little goats. I have brought you carrots for dinner.

Little Goats 3, 4: Show us your horns through the window.

(The wolf shows his false horns.)

Little Goats 3, 4: Your horns look like our mother’s, but your voice is not sweet. You are not our Mother.

Wolf (to himself): I know what I’ll do. I shall eat sugar and my voice will become as sweet as sugar.

(The wolf eats sugar and knocks at the door again.)

Little Goats 5, 6, 7: Who is there by the door?

Wolf: (in a sweet voice) It’s me, your Mother. Open the door, my little goats. I have brought you ice-cream for dinner.

Little Goats 5, 6, 7: That is our dear Mother! Let’s open the door.

Wolf (rushing into the house): Ha, ha, ha! It’s not your mother. It’s me, Big Bad Wolf. I shall eat you up, dear goats!

The seven little goats start screaming and running about the room, then hide behind the curtains.

Mother Goat’s voice is heard.

Mother- Goat: My little goats, I’m coming! Open the door!

The Wolf runs away. Mother Goat enters the room.

Mother Goat: My little goats, where are you? I can’t see you.

Little Goats 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6: Mummy, dear, the Wolf was here.

Little Goat 7: The Wolf wanted to eat us up.

Little Goats 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6: But he could not find us.

Mother-Goat: Oh, my naughty goats. Don’t let anyone in when your mother is out. Let’s have dinner. I have brought you fresh cabbage, carrots and ice-cream for you, Baby-Goat.

(Baby-Elephant comes onto the stage.)

Baby- Elephant: Mother-Goat, Mother- Goat, can you help me find my mummy?

Mother Goat: Oh, what a funny animal! Who are you? Where is your mother?

Baby- Elephant: I’m Baby-Elephant. I’m looking for my mother. Mother Dog says you will help me find my mummy. Could you have a look at her portrait?

Mother Goat: Well… Rosy cheeks… nice nose… and ears… Yes, I have seen your mother. She is in town. She works in the circus. Come with me I’ll show you. (Mother Goat brings Baby-Elephant to Mother Elephant.)

Baby- Elephant: Mummy! Mummy! Mummy…

Mother Elephant: Dolly dear!

Baby- Elephant: My dear, dear Mummy,

I love you very much.

I want you to be happy

On the 8th of March

Be happy, be happy

On the 8th of March.
