Hello, guys!

Welcome to our annual “English week”. Today we have the geographical quiz: “Discovering and Exploring the World”. We have 5 teams.

And, of course, their fans!

Welcome to our competition! Let's start!

We've got 5 teams. Each of them has got its name, motto, and its emblem (symbol).

The first team, please, introduce yourself. Thank you. Take your seats, please.

The second team, please, introduce yourself. Thank you. Take your seats, please.

The third team, please, introduce yourself. Thank you. Take your seats, please.

The fourth team, please, introduce yourself. Thank you. Take your seats, please.

The fifth team, please, introduce yourself. Thank you. Take your seats, please.

My first question is for fans. Do you know geography of the continents and the oceans? What does it study? (вопрос к болельщикам)

1 stage: And now the time of your hometask! You've prepared something interesting for us! Represent your results.

Now students of the 7 A show their hometask (максимум 5 баллов). Thank you.

2 stage: Now it is phonetic task. In these envelopes is the task for your teams. Choose one of it. You should pronounce and translate the words correctly. You have 1 minute to prepare. Don’t forget to name the number of your card (карточки с географическими названиями. Нужно фонетически правильно произнести и перевести) (за 1 правильный ответ -1 балл)

3 stage: The time of your hometask has come!

Students of the 7 D show their hometask (максимум 5 баллов).Thank you.

4 stage: I think you know that a good captain is the flag of the team. Let’s begin our captain’s contest. I invite a captain from each class to come up to me. You should choose the envelope. And you should answer the questions. You have 2 minutes to prepare.

6 stage: And now geo test. I invite a captain from each class to come here. It is the task for your teams. You should do the test. You have 3 minutes to prepare.

While our teams are doing their tasks we’ll have a contest for your fans. Dear fans! I invite one pupil from each form to come up to me. Here you can see some maps. During three minutes you will be writing the names of the continents and oceans on the map. Then show your maps to the jury. (от 0 до 5 баллов).

9 stage: The time of your hometask has come!

Students of the 7 G show their hometask (максимум 5 баллов). Thank you.

10 stage: Now it is next task. You have to make as many words as you can out of the word “evaporation”. You have 1 minute to prepare. Then show your lists to the jury. (1балл за каждое верное слово)

11 stage: The time of your hometask has come!

Students of the 7 V show their hometask (максимум 5 баллов). Thank you.

12 stage: Now dear friends let us check your knowledge of geographical objects. I need one person from each team to come up to the map.

Well, it’s a pity, but our travelling is over. Thank you for your work. Let’s our jury to sum up and announce the results of our competition.
