The theme: “Where do you want to go?”
The aims of the lesson: To form skills in monologue and dialogue speech, to practice pupils to describe their own house and rooms, to train in using construction “there is/there are” in the theme. To introduce pupils with the structure “I want to”.
The development objectives: to develop pupils’ ability in working in pairs and individually, to develop pupils’ skills and habits in understanding, reading and oral speech.
Methods of lesson: individual work, group work, question-answer.
Type of the lesson: presentation of the new theme, the mixed lesson.
Visual aids: an interactive board, pictures, cards.
The procedure of the lesson:
I. Organization moment.
1. Greeting.
2. Duty’s report
II. Checking up the pupils’ homework.
[au:]- Wow! A brown cow, now lives in a round house in a town!
Warm up:
It is a window. I see the window.
It is a door. I see the door.
It is a table. I see the table.
It is a floor. I see the floor.
2) Now pupils you may introduce yourself:
Pupils: What is your name? P-1: My name is Aidana. I’m active.
Now tell me please. P-2: My name is Bibigul. I’m beautiful.
3) Your homework was to describe your room, using the structure “There is/there are”. Who wants to start?
4) Dialogues.
P-1: What is your mother like? P-2: My mother is kind.
What instrument can you play? I can play the dombyra.
What do you want to be? I want to be a doctor.
III. Main stage.
New theme: “Where do you want to go?”
Children today I shall present new theme “Where do you want to go?.’’ Who can translate? Open your copy-books and write down the date and today’s new theme. We shall ask and answer the questions, make up dialogues and so on.
Now open your book on page 155. Ex.1. Read the sing Jazz Chant.
Interview your classmates.
Now continue our lesson.Ex.2 p.156. Speak about your interview

2. Have a rest.

4. Ex.7 p. 156 Study the pictures .Match the countries with the pictures.

5. Look at the table. There are a lot of different words on the theme “My flat”.
Try to find the words.
6. Work in groups
Who was born in winter? Raise your hand.
Who was born in summer?
Who was born in spring?
Now I’ll divide into 2 groups. Your task is to describe these pictures.
IV. Conclusion.
