Form:  6th form   

  The theme of the lesson: «What is Jane going to do?»

The aim of the lesson: talking about future plans.

 The purposes:

a) educational: to introduce pupil with structure of “to be going to + V” and to teach them to use it in their own speech.

b) developing:  to develop the pupils` abilities in speaking, writing, reading and to enrich their outlook                  

c)bringing-up: to create an English speaking atmosphere and work in.To teach pupil to respect each other and say own opinions.

 Methods of the lesson: explaining new lesson, group-work

 Language materials: new words, exercises

 Visual aids: cards, flashcards, posters, CD
                                   

                                                  Procedure of the lesson

I Organization moment

Good morning! How are you? Sit down, please. I’m glad to see you.

Today we will have an unusual lesson, you’ll have a good opportunity to work in groups.

The theme of our lesson is «What is Jane going to do?» I`ll explain the grammar structure to be going to.

II Phonetic drill

-Do you remember this song?

-Yes.

- Read and act it out.                                     

Stand up and look around.

Shake your head and turn around.

Stamp your feet upon the ground.

Clap your hands and then sit down.

Stand up and look around

Make a bow and turn around.

Stamp your feet upon the ground

Clap your hands and then sit down

IV  Practice

Task1.Now, children, read and match the sentences with the words (?осымша 4 слайд)
a) Jane is  going to rollerblade -6

b) Ann is going to  comb her hair -5

c)Omar is going to ride a unicycle -2

d) Bolat is going to drive a car -1

e) Dmitry  is going to fly a kite  -4

f)Jennifer is going to brush her teeth-3

 It is time to play a game  «What is she/he going to do?»

One pupil comes to the blackboard and shows actions  according to the new vocabulary. Other pupils should guess what  he/she is showing.

Task 2.You see, there are given 10 sentences.   (  ?осымша 5 слайд)

The first group do from the first sentence to the fourth.

The next group  do from the fifth to seventh.

The last group do up to the end.

You write in your copybooks.

1. He/open/his / umbrella.                           

2. He/feed/his dog.

3. We/sleep.

4.They/fight.

5. She/listen/to music.

 6.I/play/tennis.

 7. He/do/ washing up.

 8. She/cut/some bread.

 9.The boy/send/a letter.   

 10.It/rain.

Task 3. I give you posters for each group.

 You draw 5 pictures on this poster including today's new  words.You say what he/she is going to do. Are you ready?
