Job hunting

Цель:

Формирование, развитие и совершенствование языковых навыков: устной речи, монологического высказывания, разных видов чтения, коммуникативных навыков по теме.

Задачи:

1. Активизировать употребление речевых образцов и грамматических структур с целью осуществления запроса информации, разъяснения и умения выразить свое мнение.

2. Развивать навыки и умения делового общения средствами английского языка, подготовить учащихся к выбору профессии,

3. Воспитывать умение высказывать мысли на иностранном языке и вырабатывать толерантное отношение к чужому мнению.

Формы работы на уроке:

- фронтальная работа (ответы на вопросы, чтение выражений)

- индивидуальная работа

- работа в группах

- монологическая речь

Procedure of the Lesson.

1.Org. moment.

1. Hello, students. Take your seats, please, and get ready for the lesson. If you are ready let’s start our lesson. The theme of our lesson is “Job hunting”. It will be continue of previous lessons. Why the theme is “Job Hunting”. Because nowadays to find a suitable job is a great problem. It is a problem of our families, of our country. Of course, I wish it won’t be your problem in future, after finishing your school and universities.

2. T: Brainstorming.

What words come and word combinations come to your mind when you hear the word “Job|”?

P.1: high paid

P.2: wage

P.3: retirement

P.4: advertisement etc.

1. Vocabulary.

a) T: Many centuries ago there were a few jobs. What are they? Do you know them?

P.1: I think it’s a baker. Because it’s an old profession.

P.2: Farmers ….

P.3: Butchers were also so popular in the past.

b) T: Please, look at the smart board and say what these people by profession are.

Name the profession and give one more sentence about it. (Slide 1)

For example: P.1: If I am not mistaken it is a shop assistant. When I was a child I wanted to be a shop assistant. It’s an interesting job.

4.Work in two groups. Slide 2.

1^st gr. A filling has come out of one of your back teeth . Who would you contact or call in the situation below?

2^nd gr. A dentist.

5. T: Choosing a future career, we should consider different factors. What is the most important thing in choosing a job? Why? Slide 3

P1, In me opinion the most important thing in choosing a job is money. Because some jobs are well paid and some of them are low paid. I want to get well paid job.

P2 I think the most thing in choosing a job is holidays. I like traveling that’s why it is very important for me to have holiday in summer. P3, P4…

T. a) Money is one of the important factors in choosing a job. At the last lesson I asked you to learn the new words connected with money. Do you remember? What are they?
