Тема: How to become famous

Цели урока:

Образовательная цель:

• формирование умений употребления лексических единиц по теме в речи (монологическое высказывание, диалогическая речь)

Развивающая цель :

• развитие аналитических способностей учащихся;

• развитие навыков говорения;

• развитие навыков аудирования.

Воспитательная цель:

• формирование активной жизненной позиции.

Дидактические средства обучения:

• компьютерная и мультимедийная техника;

• проекционный материал;

• раздаточный материал.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент

Good morning, dear pupils. I’m glad to see you. How are you today?

Look at the blackboard. Here is a saying. Read it, please: “Do your best and people may like it”. What do you think we are going to discuss?

• Popularity, famous people etc.

• Right you are!

Today we will speak about famous people and not only. But before we start, answer my question please: “Is it easy to become famous?”

Ok, opinions are different. That’s why we are going to learn how to become famous and mind map will help us.

During our lesson, we will make a plan of success\popularity.

In addition, after each item, you will fill in your personal “celebrity cards”.

1. Talent and skills

Let’s remember people of what professions can make their country popular?

(singer, doctor, scientist etc.)

How can these people make their country popular?

Start with “I think that……can……”

So, what is the first item in our mind map?

Right you are we should “Decide what you’ll be famous for?”

Please, fill in your cards. What can you do to become famous?

1. Individuality

Imagine that a person will become popular if he\she has some traits of character.

Many people want to become popular or famous but not every person can achieve their goals. May be it depends on our character?

Let’s remember the qualities (or characteristics) that can help a person become famous

I’d like you to remember as many qualities as you can to help a person to become popular.

Please, describe these people.

Choose one of the prominent trait of character and write it down.

So, the 2d item of mind map is “be unique”.

And the last step of becoming famous is to give an interview to the famous newspapers, magazines

Imagine that one of you is a star, another one is a correspondent. Act out the dialogue. Ask questions, you may use you celebrity’s cards.
