Тема: Books. Підтема: The Story of the book.
Цілі:
-ознайомити учнів з історією виникнення книги;
-закріпити вивченний лексичний матеріал;
-навчити учнів використовувати нові лексичні одиниці в мовленні;
- виховати любов до книги;
- розвити пізнавальні можливості учнів, мовну здогадку, вміння слухати:
-сформувати уявлення учнів про нове граматичне явище- пасивний стан;

T:There are a lot of hobbies in the world. We can do everything and develop yourself as a personality. The reading is one of them. Today we are going to speak about the history of the book, learn new words and develop our grammatical skills. So let’s start our lesson .
2.Фонетична зарядка
T: In order to start speaking English I prepere for you a tongue –twister. Listen to me , repeat and pronounce it yourself.
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck If a woodchuck could chuck wood?He would chuck what a woodchuck could chuckIf a woodchuck could chuck wood.
3.Aвтоматизація дій учнів з новими лексичними одиницями на рівні фрази та понад фразової єдності.
T:We know , there are a lot of types of the books . Every person in this world can choose the book to his taste. Let’s fulfill the lexical spider . I give you some prompts ( the descriptions of the book ) and you must guess the type and write down.
THE PROMPTS
1 The book is about hero who goes on an ususual journey and does dangerous things.
2.A storyis about the events that take place in the future or in the space.
3.It is always serious and very emotional.
4.A story is about the crimes or a strange events.
5.It is funny story with happy ending.
6.it is a story of a person’s life written by another person.
T: Now repeat the words together in the chorus. Now I tell the titles of the books and its type you must correct me if I’m not right.
Cinderrela is a short story.
Robinson Crusoe is a comedy.
Harry Potter is a drama.
Gulliver”s Travels is a sci-fi.
Treasure Island is a poem.
T: Answer my questions and tell your classmates about your favourite novel, poem, short story, fairy tale, play, adventure story.Use such construction.

T:Make up some dialogues . Imagine that you are in the “Club of reading “you must find out the favourite books of some members. Use such expressions .

T: The books can be of different . They can be good and can be bad. Please look at the blackboard I present you some words of negative and positive meaning, these words can help you to make your speech vivid.
Interesting,boring,witty,badly-written,enjoyable, slow-moving, exciting, fast –moving, true -to –life,unoriginal,heavy going,well-written, depressing, easy to read.
T: Look at the words try to memorize them and match these russian words and word- combinations with English adjectives.
T: I tell you the title of the book, you must describe it using new words.
“Rob Roy”, “Gulliver’s Travels”,” Oliver Twist”, “The Jungle Book”, “The Lords of the rings”, “Sherlock Holmes”.
T: Choose the adjectives and put into omitted places:depressing,interesting, badly written, witty, powerful.

T:You know that the books changed the form. I think it depended on the development of the humanity. Look at the pictures and say how the book has changed since old times.
T:Read the text and say where the books came from and let’s make up a good title of it.
