Start 5 - 8 min	Greeting: Org moment Teacher greets the learners. Learners greet the teacher and take their places. Teacher divides the students into 3 groups using the method of puzzles. Students take a piece of paper and should collect the words and get a picture. Revising the previous themes Listening. Task 1. The post office is behind the library. "Video prompt" Teacher shows learners the video about the world around them. - What was the video about? - What words have you heard? - What do you think about this video? - What are these words related to? AFL: Coloured pictures presenting the theme. Compose a little story according to the picture. (5- 6 sent) Less able Ss write words they know that come to their mind. More able Ss write 2-3 sentences trying to describe it. I. Reading. The world is a very beautiful place. There are beautiful mountains, wonderful rivers and large forests. But some people are destroying the environment. In the Amazon forests they are cutting down the large trees. They are burning the small ones. They are killing birds and the animals. They are destroying the forest and change the forest into farm land. On Mount Everest too many people are walking on the mountains. They are destroying the grass. They are killing the plants. They are dumping their rubbish on the mountain because they do not want to carry it. On the Ural River in Kazakhstan the factories are polluting the river with dirty water and it needs to clean the water. People are killing the red herring in the river because they want the caviar. They take the caviar and they throw away the fish. In some places things are getting better. The British are cleaning the rivers. The fish are coming back. The Americans are protecting the Redwood Forest. They are not cutting the big, old trees. In Kazakhstan we are not testing nuclear bombs anymore.
