  • write 4-6 sentences about places for holiday in Kazakhstan without support

Teacher greets students; students respond to greeting and take their places.

Warming up

Teacher asks students “How are you?” to find out their mood at the beginning of the lesson; students choose one of the smiles they see on the slide, saying “I am happy/sad….etc.”

Teacher will invite learners play game “Go fish”(find your group). Give them words on the theme of transport, sport and divided in two groups. (Найди свою группу.карточки на тему траспорт,спорт и разделит на две части)

Look at the board! You can see there a cluster with the central word “Summer”. What words in your opinion, related to this phrase?(Посмотрите на доску. Вы можете увидеть там кластер с центральным словам Лето. Какие слова на ваш взгляд связаны с этой фразой?)


(Learners using their vocabulary find out words. One of the words will be HOLIDAY) (Лидеры используя свой словарный запас,находят слова. Одним из слов будет Праздник)

Teacher: Well, let’s start.

– Do you like holidays? – Yes, I do

– What holidays do you know? – Christmas, New Year’s day, Victory Day, Mother’s Day, St Valentine’s Day, Birthday, Motherland Defenders’ Day, Women’s Day, May Day, Independence Day, Easter, Day of Knowledge.

– What is your favourite holiday? Why? – I like Easter most of all. Because we color eggs.

– And what about you? Which holiday do you like most of all?

Teacher: Let’s work in group, children. Every group gets 1 holiday. You should write down the list and make a poster «What do you usually do at this holiday”. Don’t tell anybody what holiday you have. Then we’ll try to guess it.Давайте работать в группе,дети. Каждая группа получает карту.(Вы должны записать список и сделать плакат «Что вы обычно делаете на этом празднике». Никому не говари какой у тебя праздник. Каждая группа должна угадать)

For example: You have “Birthday”

You list: We usually invite friends to our place, cook special dishes, and arrange a party.

You have 3 minutes.

Teacher: Are you ready? Let’s check up. The first group, read your list, we will guess your holiday.
