Цель: Развитие навыков устной речи

Задачи:

образовательные: тренировка изученных ЛЕ и артикля с географическими названиями; развивать навыки монологической речи по теме;

развивающие: способствовать развитию внимания, памяти, воображения, мышления, смекалки;

воспитательная цель: повышение интереса к изучению иностранного языка

Оборудование: компьютер, проектор, презентация, карточки с заданиями

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент.

The topic of our lesson is «Our wonderful planet». Today we are going to read and speak about varieties of the planet where we live.

II. Фонетическая зарядка.

Let’s begin with phonetic drills.

[t] coast, vast, mountain, mountainous, flat,

[d] desert, land, island, landscapes, deep,

[r] forest, river, prairie, range,

[w] wood, world, wash, washed by

III. Речевая зарядка.

-What country is this?

-Is it big or small?

-Is this an island or a continent?

-How many rivers are there in this country?

-What are the main rivers?

-What mountains of this country do you know?

-What oceans is this country washed by?

IV. Повторение и закрепление изученного материала.

1) Чтение и перевод изученных ЛЕ. Look at the words related to landscapes, repeat them after me and translate them: a coast, a desert, an island, a plain, a prairie, a canyon, a hill, a mountain range, a forest, a wood, an ocean.

2) Сопоставление слов с их определениями. Now match these words and their definitions:

-A large area of sand.

-Several mountains one after another.

-Land surrounded by water.

-A narrow part of land at a sea or an ocean.

-A very flat territory without mountains in Europe and Asia.

-A very flat territory without mountains covered with grass in America.

-A territory covered with trees.

-A small mountain.

-A small forest

3) Чтение и перевод изученных ЛЕ. Now look at the list of adjectives and read them:

Endless Mountainous Useless Vast Flat

Huge Sunny Unique High Heavy Deep

4) Составление фраз: прил.+сущ. Please, make up word combinations to describe landscapes:

a flat plain, a deep canyon, a vast ocean, etc.

5) Развитие навыков монологической речи. Рассказать, где вы хотели бы провести выходные дни.

-What kind of landscapes do you prefer? Where would you like to spend your weekend?

Explain your choice, please.

-I would like to spend my weekend… because…

6) Try to guess what countries such landscapes are typical of.

The USA

7) Повторение грамматического материала об употреблении артикля с географическими названиями.

Read the geographical names. We do not use « the» with the names of continents, countries, cities, single mountains and single islands. We use « the» with the names of oceans, seas, rivers, deserts, mountain ranges, groups of islands and some countries.

8) Какую страну вы хотели бы посетить и почему? Работа в парах.

Work in pairs. Ask each other what count ry would you like to visit and why.

—What country would you like to visit?

—I would like to visit…because…

9) Аудирование. Работа с картой.

You can see the map of the UK in your AB (p.5) Study the map and prepare for listening.

—You will listen to the geographical position of the UK. Tick the names you hear on the map. Pay attention, usually the geographical names are written without articles on the map. Check your answers.

Now complete the sentences with the names from the text. (карточки)

—The coasts of the country are washed by …, …, … and … .

—The main rivers are … , … and … .

— There are many lakes in … .
