Конспект урока по английскому языку по теме «Easter»

5 класс

Тип занятия: обобщающее повторение.

Вид занятия: комбинированный урок.

Цели:

1. Образовательные:

- совершенствование речевых навыков и умения моно­логической и диалогической речи.

2. Воспитательные:

• повышение мотивации к изучению иностранного языка;

• воспитание любви к традициям своей страны и страны изучаемого языка.

3. Развивающие:

- создание благоприятного психологического климата;

• развитие творческой активности обучающихся;

• развитие умения сравнивать, обобщать;

• формирование умения выделять главное, частное.

Задачи:

• развивать монологическую и диалогическую речь;

- развивать образную, эмоциональную, символичес­кую (словесно-логическую), произвольную память;

- развивать творческое (продуктивное) воображение;

- систематизировать практические знания по грамматике: структура вопросительного предложения.

Оборудование: раздаточный материал с текстом «Easter» для чтения, индивидуальные доски, цветные мелки, фломастеры, сигнальные карточки, песня «Hot Cross Buns», газета «Дайджест», №8 (2006 г.), газета «English for children», №7 (1994 г.).

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент

Teacher: Good morning, children!

Pupils: Good morning!

Teacher: Sit down, please. How are you today?

Pupil: I’m fine, thanks. And you?

Teacher: I’m fine. Thank you.

2.Сообщение темы урока – праздника (Слайд №1)

Teacher: I’m sure you remember what holiday English people will celebrate in spring. What is it?

Pupil: I think they will celebrate Easter. (Слайд №2)

Teacher: You’re right. Welcome to our Easter party. You’ll see how Easter is celebrated in English- speaking countries. I hope you’ll enjoy our lesson.

3. Развитие навыка аудирования и контроль понимания

But first of all, look at the board. Here are some new words. Let’s read the words all together. (Слайд № 3)

to rejoice — радоваться, праздновать

Christian — христианин

Resurrection — воскресение (из мертвых)

Jesus of Nazareth — Иисус из Назарета

Maundy Week — страстная неделя

Easter comes in spring, it’s beautiful time for everyone. The cold dark days of winter are over. Birds return singing. Grass and flowers begin to make a new carpet for the Earth. The date of Easter is not the same from year to year. But it always comes on the first Sunday after the first full moon in spring.(Слайд №4)

For Christians Easter Sunday is the greatest religious holiday of the year. It is a day of joy.(Слайд № 5) It celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, who rose from death to new life many years ago.

Easter Week is called Maundy Week in the English-speaking world. On Thursday in Great Britain rich people give gifts to the poor: money, food, small gifts. Good Friday, that is also called God's Friday, is the saddest day of the week. (Слайд № 6) In England people bake hot-cross buns. On Easter Saturday they colour eggs. (Слайд № 7) In Great Britain children put the coloured eggs in green, pink, red or yellow baskets.

On Easter morning in the USA children get Easter baskets full of sweets, chocolates and candy eggs. Their parents hide Easter eggs all over the house or in the garden, they say that the Easter Bunny has hidden them, and the children hunt for the eggs.

Teacher: When does Easter come?

Pupil: It comes in spring.

Teacher: What are the simbols of new life?

Pupil: Eggs.

Pupil: Rabbits.

4. Чтение текста «Easter».

Teacher: And now I want you to read a text about Easter. I hope you will learn something new. But first of all, look at the pictures and words which will help you to understand the text and use the information from the text in the tasks. (Слайд № 9, учащимся раздаются карточки с текстом)

EASTER

Easter is always on the Sunday after the first full moon that fol­lows March 21. Easter is a Chris­tian holiday. Christians believe that Jesus Christ died on Good Friday. He rose from the dead three days later on Easter Sunday. Christians go to church on Easter. White lilies and candles in church help Christians think about new life.

People are also happy at Easter because after the winter, spring has come. There are spring flow­ers such as crocuses and daffodils. Birds come back from their winter homes to build nests.

Easter eggs and rabbits are also signs of new life. The early Chris­tians gave eggs to their friends and families. Today many people dye and paint eggs to make them look beautiful. Small children be­lieve an Easter bunny hides choc­olate and candy eggs. On Easter morning the children look for the eggs. This is called an Easter egg hunt.

On Easter some people eat a sweet bun with a cross on it. It's called a hot cross bun. Many fami­lies get together to have a big din­ner on Easter.

5. Совершенствование речевых навыков

Teacher: Many people don’t believe in Easter Bunny. Do you think there is Easter Bunny? (Слайд № 10)

Pupil: Yes, I do.

Teacher: Me, too.

Появляется кролик. Роль кролика играет ученик, который хорошо владеет английским языком.

Rabbit: Hello, boys and girls!

I’m a rabbit. My name is Easter Bunny. What’s your name?

Pupil: My name is ...

Rabbit: I live in the forest. I like children very much that’s why I am here.

Do you know how old I am?

Pupil: You are 6 (8,4) years old.

Rabbit: No. I am one year old. I’m small but I go to school in our forest. By the way, I get only “5” and our teacher, the wise owl, says I’m the cleverest pupil.

Now I have holidays. I like to jump, hop and play hide-and-seek. Of course, I like to eat tasty things: carrots, cabbiges, leaves.

Look at me! Today I’m wearing my new white cap. Do you like it?

Pupil: Yes, of course. It’s nice.

Rabbit: My parents gave me a cap as an Easter present. I like it very much.

Do you like to give presents?

Pupil: Yes, I do.

Rabbit: Do you like to get presents?

Pupil: Yes, I do.

Teacher: Children, I want you to ask Easter Bunny some questions. Come on!

Pupil: Who is your best friend?

Pupil: Have you got an uncle / an aunt / a cousin / a newphew / a niece?

Pupil: Can you play hopscotch / tag / football?

Pupil: How many letters are there in English Alphabet?

Pupil: What do you want to be?

Pupil: Do you know Mary, Mary McDonald?

Pupil: How many seasons are there in the year?

Pupil: How many days are there in July / April / February?

Pupil: What do you usually wear in summer / winter?

Pupil: Do you like apples / pears / bananas?

Pupil: Are you hungry / thirsty?

Teacher: Dear Easter Bunny, are you tired?

Rabbit: Yes, I’m tired.

Teacher: That’s enough. Thank you for your answers.

6. Проверка домашнего задания

Teacher: Your homework was to learn a poem by heart. (Слайд № 11)

While Easter Bunny is having a rest, let’s recite the poems. Who wants to be the first? 2-3 ученика рассказывают стихотворения.

Teacher: Traditionally people sing a song “Hot Cross Buns” on this day. So let us sing it all together. (Звучит песня “Hot Cross Buns”)

Before having a big dinner on Easter people usually read a prayer. Let’s meet it right now. Who wants to read it? (Слайд № 13)

Два ученика рисуют на индивидуальных досках цветными мелками, остальные учащиеся рисуют в своих тетрадях. Один из учащихся медленно читает текст. (Слайд № 17)

Pupil: It’s a monster – rabbit. It has one big eye and two small eyes. One eye is grey. Two other eyes are red. Its nose is small. Its mouth is very big. It has got one big white tooth. It has got two small ears. Its whiskers are big. The rabbit is blue.

Оценивают рисунки ученики сигнальными карточками “Fine”, “OK”, “So-So”.
