Цель урока: развитие навыков говорения, ознакомительного и поискового видов чтения на английском языке.
Задачи урока:
1. активизация знаний учащихся по теме «Английские и американские писатели» с помощью проблемного задания «Вопрос-ответ» (Asking\Answering Questions) из приема аккумулирования информации по определенной теме (Collecting data techniques); а также с помощью проблемного задания «Нахождение соответствий» (Matching; Matching pictures with the names of the authors) из приема нахождения сходств/различий и соответствий;
2. развитие навыка ознакомительного и поискового видов чтения на английском языке с помощью проблемного задания «Верные/Неверные утверждения» (True/False Statements) из приема нахождения сходств/различий и соответствий на этапе до чтения и после прочтения текста; задание проблемного характера «Вопрос-ответ» (Asking\Answering Questions) из приема аккумулирования информации по определенной теме (Collecting data techniques).
Presentation Stage
A teacher offers students to answer for questions. Students come to the blackboard and take a card (Приложение 1).
Learners may help each other and give additional information.
To help learners accumulate material a teacher gives a task for matching pictures with the proper names of famous English and American writers (Приложение 2,3).
A teacher asks learners to accumulate ideas and say the title of the lesson.
Pre-Reading Stage
Students are given worksheets. (True/False Statements Worksheet). A teacher helps to analyze it (Приложение 4).
Reading Stage
Students read and understand the texts. They check their answers according to the texts about American and English writers.
Post-Reading Stage
At the beginning students and the teacher discuss true/false statements together, than they are asked questions about the famous writers. They find answers and prove it from the texts (Student’s Book p.33 ex.7).
At the end of the lesson a teacher with learners summarize material and main points of the topic. Feedback helps students to understand what they’ve learned and what they will do at home.
