Theme: Red Data Book- « Зов Джунглей»
Цели урока: обобщение материала по теме «Животные в нашей жизни»; oзнакомить с исчезающими видами животных, тренировка лексико-грамматических навыков.
Оборудование: «бананы», «сырое мясо» картинка, слайды, картинки, карточки с заданиями.
Ход урока
Организационный момент:
1.- Good morning, children. I’m very glad to see you and we are glad to see you, dear teachers. You are welcome. Let’s begin our lesson. Begin to draw the picture of the favourite animals. (3 minutes).
2.Then every group describes their picture. Correct. Add their corrections. Revising of the lexis ( On the screen).

4. Then the teacher shows the film about wild animals. Then the children find a basket full of animals. Dividing into groups.
- I want you to divide into two groups. One group is “The Beasts of Prey” and the second group is “The Beasts of Grass”. “The Beasts of Prey” will have ‘meat’ for good answers and doing tasks and “The Beasts of Grass” will have bananas.
Well, teams you have some time to choose the captain and decide how to present your team.
5. Проведение конкурсов
а.Конкурс 1. «Визитка»
Команды рассказывают о себе и представляют своих капитанов.
Пример: We are “The Beasts of Prey”. We are very quick, clever and energetic. In our team we have such animals as A Wolf-Sasha, A Fox-Lena, A Crocodile-Petya, A Tiger-Dima, A Bear-Tanya. Our captain is brave and strong Lion-Pasha.
За лучшую визитку команда получает банан (для «Травоядных») или кость (для «Хищников»).
б.Конкурс 2. «Загадка»
Учитель просит команды по очереди отгадать загадки учителя. Если команда не дает правильного ответа, право ответить получает команда соперников. За каждую разгаданную загадку команда получает meat или banana.
Загадки:
- This animal lives in the forest. It is neither big nor small. It likes to eat carrots and it is afraid of a fox and a wolf. This animal runs very fast. (A hare.)
- This animal is very big. It is grey and sometimes white. It has a very long nose. It lives in India and Africa. It likes to eat leaves and grass. (An elephant.)
- This animal lives at home or in the street. It is a man is friend. It can run, but can is fly and climb. It is very clever and friendly. (A dog.)
- This animal lives in the river or near the water. It is green. It can jump and swim, but it can neither run nor climb. (A frog.)
- Gena is not a boy. He is big, long and green. He is very clever. It can swim. He has a friend Cheburashka. (A crocodile.)
- This animal is red and sly. It likes hens, cocks, hares and ducks. It lives in the forest. (A fox.)
- It is grey. It can run, jump and walk. It is very small. It likes bread and cheese. It lives in the house. (A mouse.)
- This animal can be black, grey, white or red. It lives in the house. It can catch a grey mouse. It likes meat, fish and milk. It can run, jump, climb and walk. (A cat.)

8. Teacher:
I’ll tell you some information about different animals & you’ll try to guess their names. Most of these animals live in the tropical rainforest or the jungle of Brazil.
Guess these animals, please:
- it’s a large animal with sharp teeth, it lives in the sea. Some types of them can attack people. (shark)
- it’s a small insect which bites people & animals & drinks their blood. It usually lives in the countryside, in the wet & humid places (mosquito)
- it’s a brightly colored tropical bird. People often keep it as a pet. This bird can talk like a human (parrot)
- it’ a small insect with eight legs. It usually makes a net, catches other insects & eats them (spider)
- it’s an animal which lives in South & North America, it moves very slowly (sloth)
- it’s a large reptile which lives in the water in the hot tropical countries. It has a long body, a long mouth with many sharp teeth. Its skin may be green or brown. It attacks people or animals & eats them (crocodile)
- It’s an animal that can pull its head & legs into the shell on its back. It uses this shell as a house. It walks very slowly. Some of them can swim. People often keep them as a pet (tortoise)
- it’s a long thin animal without legs or wings. It can creep or jump. Its length can be several meters. Some of them have a poisonous bite which can kill animals or people (snake)
9. Угадайте название животного при помощи вопросов ( тонкие, толстые).
Ученики по очереди выходят к доске и загадывают какое-нибудь животное, а остальные должны угадать при помощи вопросов.
Вопросник (для раздачи):
- is it wild or domestic?
- is it big or small?
- what colour is this animal?
- where does it live? (forest, jungle, bush, sea, air, town, desert)
- has it got a nest or a hole?
- does it sleep in winter?
- can it jump? (run, fly, walk, fight, swim, creep, burrow)
- has it got spots, stripes, thorns or shell?
