Рождественский вечер

Цель : развитие речевой компетенции (активизация навыков говорения по теме «Рождество», навыков аудирования, навыков чтения текстов, навыков письма по теме);
развитие языковой компетенции (повторение лексики по теме);
развитие социокультурной компетенции (знакомство учащихся с рождественскими традициями в англо - говорящих странах).
Дидактическая модель обучения : объяснительно-иллюстрационная.

Задачи :

Формировать лексические навыки по теме «Рождество».
Увеличить объем оперативного запоминания путем постепенного увеличения речевых единиц на аудитивной и зрительной основе, способность к осуществлению репродуктивных речевых действий, к осуществлению продуктивных речевых действий (конструирование речевых единиц разных уровней, трансформация, комбинирование и т.д.).
Развивать способности к догадке, к логическому изложению содержания высказывания, к формулированию выводов из прочитанного, услышанного или сказанного, к переключению внимания в упражнениях в разных видах речевой деятельности,
Продолжить работу над тремя видами чтения — чтения с общим охватом содержания, с извлечением конкретной информации и с детальным пониманием. Развивать умение читать быстро, умение догадываться о значении неизвестных слов по контексту, умение понять основную идею текста.
Уровень усвоения : продуктивный

Время проведения проекта – Рождественская неделя
Вечер проходит в форме соревнования между командами (учащихся из параллели).

Рождественская неделя

Dear friends! Today we are going to have some entertainment and competitions called «Christmas fun».
We will speak about Christmas – a wonderful holiday, loved by children and grown-ups for the presents, bright Christmas tree funny Santa Claus and other things. Today we’ll have a contest and I’ll have to divide you into four teams. Each team will have a name. Who would like to choose it? Take the card and name who you are. Let’s begin with Christmas hymn . (Дети поют караоке « Jingle Bells », на экране видео-проектора мини-мультфильм)

Let’s begin with some Warming –up

The competition is called «Christmas word». (Далее идёт объяснение условий конкурса:
из букв, входящих в слова Merry Christmas , необходимо составить как можно больше слов (существительные в единственном числе, глаголы в начальной форме, числительные, местоимения).

The next task is « Drawing competition»

So, Christmas is an important celebration. And it has a lot of customs and traditions. Read these small texts and find out what symbols are connected with Christmas (activities). ( чтение мини-текстов, поиск слов, означающих рождественские символы)
People of different countries celebrate Christmas in various ways. People in the USA and Canada decorate their homes with People trees, wreaths and ornaments . City streets are filled with colored lights the sounds of bells and Christmas carols can be heard everywhere.
Children write letters to Santa Claus and tell him what presents they would like to get . People send Christmas cards to relatives and friends.
A Christmas tree is one of the main symbols of Christmas. Relatives and friends decorate the tree with lights , tinsels and colorful ornaments Gifts are placed under the tree. On Christmas Eve or Christmas morning. Families open their gifts.
Many children , believe that Santa Claus come on Christmas Eve in a sleigh pulled by reindeer and brings presents. Some children hang up stockings so Santa Clause can fill them with candy , fruit and other small gifts.
In many parts of the USA and in Britain groups of people walk from house and sing Christmas carols . Some people give singers money or small gifts or invite them for a warm drink.
Many people attend church services on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning.
A traditional Christmas dinner consists of stuffed turkey mashed potatoes and a variety of other dishes.
Pumpkin pie, plum pudding, and fruitcake are favourite deserts.
Christmas is Christian holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ . For millions of Christians throughout the world it is the happiest and the busiest time of the year. No one knows the exact date of. Christ’s birth but most Christians celebrate Christmas on December 25.
The Christmas story comes from the Bible . It tells us an interesting story of shepherds who were watching their sheep when an angel appeared to them. He told them that a Saviour had been born in Bethlehem . The shepherds went there to see Jesus.
The baby Jesus was born in a stable . His mother was Virgin Mary and his father was Joseph.
The Bible tell us how the Wise Men followed a star until it led them to Jesus. The Wise Men gave Jesus many gifts . Because of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Christians celebrate Christmas.
