Purpose .

• Purpose: to learn about the main traditions of English cuisine and get acquainted with them.

Hypothesis.

• Perhaps in the course of my research, I can not only acquaint classmates with the traditions and food of English cuisine, but also replenish their English vocabulary.

English cuisine .

English cuisine is famous all over the world for its quality and quite conservative range. Despite the fact that her fame is not very refined and too simple cuisine, Britain still boasts a variety of dishes and products. The most famous can be considered a traditional English Breakfast and Christmas lunch. The cuisine of the United Kingdom has a number of regional varieties, such as Scottish, Welsh, Anglo-Indian, Gibraltar and others. Each of them has a different range of dishes. Many dishes are very popular in their native regions and are called depending on the place of origin of the main products. Traditional English cuisine is strongly influenced by the changeable and temperate climate of the country. Also of great importance is the history of the country and the geography of the island.

N ational dish.

• English traditional cuisine to the liking of any person who loves meat. English cooks are interested in cooking meat dishes of the highest quality, using mutton or beef as the main ingredient. A popular dish of English culinary traditions is roast beef, a piece of beef that is baked in the oven. In some cases, roast beef is grilled or stewed. One of the main is cabbage, cooked with leek. Description does not cause appetite, but for this dish the chefs create their own recipe of special sauces. There is another traditional product of English cuisine, which is in demand and popular. It is a cheese that has a peculiar but sweet taste. Among the desserts are cream and puddings, dishes that are valued around the world and are considered a culinary tradition of English cuisine.

Drinks and spices.

• It is seasonings in traditional cooking that distinguish Britain from Central Europe. All existing spices in the kitchen of England are used to enhance the taste of each dish. The traditional drink of the English people is considered tea, it has earned its popularity in the 17th century. Due to the fact that this miraculous drink relieves stress and tension, he received recognition. Rich British high society are well versed in wine, so this drink has become traditional during the meal. As a rule, they prefer to see French wine, port or sherry on their table. And despite the fact that the highest fans of this strong drink are residents of U.S. cities. Before brandy appeared on the territory of the state, it is preferred to use it British.

Breakfast , lunch and dinner.

• The survey was conducted among students in grades 6-9, an average of 100 people. They were asked: Do you know English dishes? The result of the survey can be seen in the diagram.

Conclusion.

• During the work on the project,we got acquainted with English cuisine, traditional and festive dishes of England, as well as introduced our classmates. The British follow the diet. Main meals: morning tea, Breakfast, lunch, traditional five-hour tea, lunch.Work on the project continues, we also found out that the great preference is given to the British - meat. Our prospects for the future study of meats and cook them.
