Цели мероприятия:

· Способствовать развитию и поддержанию интереса к языку.

· Способствовать повышению уровня владения языком.

· Способствовать расширению кругозора, творческих способностей, памяти, внимания.

Задачи мероприятия:

· Привлечь учащихся к творческой работе.

· Обеспечить учащихся увлекательным материалом страноведческого и игрового характера.

· Применить соревновательные формы внеклассной работы.

Оборудование:

Карта Соединенного Королевства, картинки с символами Британии и достопримечательностями Лондона, грамматические карточки, открытки и поделки по праздникам, жетоны и сигнальные карточки.

Основной этап мероприятия:

Introduction:

Glad to meet you, boys and girls! Today we are having a competition “The Star Hour”. In our contest there will be 4 rounds and a final. Everybody will take part in the competition and the pupil who will get the most points will be a winner. The pupil with the least number of points after every round will be out of the game.
