Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку для 11 класса

«Do you know English customs?»

Цель мероприятия: « активизация страноведческого материала »

Задачи:

Образовательные:

- повторять традиции и праздники в Британии

- вводить новую лексику

Практические:

- формировать навыки работы в группе.

Развивающие:

- развивать память, внимание, умение слушать учителя и одноклассников.

Воспитательные:

- прививать интерес к английскому языку;

- формировать чувство ответственности за команду;

Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийная установка, экран, презентация Power Point, карточки с буквами A, B, C, D для каждой команды, грамота команде-победительнице

Ход мероприятия:

1. Организационный момент

• Hello, students! I am glad to see you! Today we have an unusual lesson. The first part of it will be informative and the second part of the lesson we are going to play. So, I would like to ask you. Are you aware of British customs? What British customs do you know?

• And what about British festivals?

• Ok. You know Christmas and Halloween.. But do you know something about Bonfire Night?

Учащиеся отвечают.

• Today you are going to learn about one more British popular festival.

Учитель показывает учащимся видео о празднике «Ночь Гая Фокса». Затем, учащиеся выполняют задание по видео, обсуждают праздник.

- Now we are going to play a game. Everybody knows it. It is called “Who wants to be a millioner?” I`ll remind you the rules. You will answer 15 questions from 100 to 1000000. You will think during one minute. Then you will have to give your answers. You have 3 prompts: 50x50, the help of the audience and the call to your friend. You can use each prompt once only. But, firstly, divide into 3 groups.
