"Виртуальное путешествие по Лондону"
Цель: Развивать у учащихся способности и желание участвовать в процессе коммуникации на английском языке.
Задачи:
Воспитательные:
формировать у учащихся уважение и интерес к культуре и народу Великобритании;
формировать потребность в практическом использовании английского языка в социально-культурной сфере;
воспитывать культуру общения.
Развивающие:
развивать у учащихся интерес к изучению английского языка;
углублять познавательные мотивы;
развивать эмоциональную сферу учащихся и их актёрские способности.
Образовательные:
обобщить и расширить знания учащихся о столице Великобритании, обычаях и традициях страны;
расширить общий и лингвистический кругозор учащихся.
Практические:
развивать у учащихся умения монологической и диалогической речи;
учить учащихся применять Present Perfect с ранее усвоенной грамматической конструкцией Past Simple;
развивать умение выступать публично с подготовленным устным сообщением на заданную тему.

Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you. Let’s begin our lesson.
Today our lesson will be unusual.
Have you ever been to London? I suppose you haven’t. Now you have such an opportunity.
At our lesson we’ll make a trip to London, the capital of Great Britain. It’s one of the oldest and the most interesting cities in the world.
II. Повторениеграмматики.
But at first let’s revise some grammar material. Let’s remember Past Indefinite and Present perfect. (слайд 1)
When do we use Past Indefinite? (When smth was in the past: yesterday, last…, … ago)
What words mark Present Perfect? (already, just, ever, yet)
Why is it important to know three forms of the verbs? (We use the second form to make up a sentence in the Past Indefinite and the third form for the Present Perfect)
Look at the example. Make up the interrogative sentence and the negative sentence.
And do you remember Irregular verbs? (слайд 2)
And now let’s make up the sentences using the irregular verbs and some word-combinations. (слайд 3)
Read the phrases and translate them.
Open your copy-books. I give you 2 minutes to write down the sentences using the Present Perfect Tense. (example)

London is one of the largest cities in the world. About seven million people live here. London is more than two thousand years old. London’s most famous sights are Tower Bridge, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and St. Paul’s Cathedral.
You’ll see a picture and in your text you should find out the information about this place of interest.
Let’s start our trip from Trafalgar Square. Do you want to visit it?(слайд 15)
Trafalgar Square is in the centre of London. People say it is the most beautiful place in London. In the middle of the square there is a tall column. It is a monument to Admiral Nelson. Four lions look at the square from the monument. The main building of Trafalgar Square is theNational Gallery.(слайд 16) It is one of the best picture galleries in the world. Every day a lot of people visit this fine building.
Here you can see Hyde Park. Can you find out the sentences describing Hyde Park?(слайд 17)
There are a lot of green parks in London. The largest park is Hyde Park. It is one of the most popular places for Londoners on hot summer days, if the weather is fine you can ride horses.
Do you see that wonderful palace? Who will read us about Buckingham Palace?(слайд 18)
The Queen of England lives in Buckingham Palace. It is a wonderful building with a monument in front of it. It takes people ten to twenty minutes to get from Buckingham Palace to Trafalgar Square, in the centre of London.
We are in Parliament Square. Let’s read about the buildings around.(слайд 19)
You can see a long grey building with towers which is the Houses of Parliament. The large clock in one of the towers is Big Ben. (слайд 20) Big Ben is the name of the clock and the bell. It is one of the most famous clocks in the world.
Oh, I see the great church on the other side of Parliament Square. What is it? (слайд 21)
Westminster Abbey is a royal (королевская) church. It is the most famous and beautiful churches in London. It is very old too. It is more than nine hundred years old. There are so many monuments there. Many English kings and queens are buried there. The Abbey with its two tall towers is really wonderful.

You can visit some interesting places in London. One of them is the Tower of London. The Tower of London was a Fortress, a palace, a prison and the King’s Zoo. Now it is a museum. You can see a lot of interesting things in the room of White Tower. There are always black ravens (вороны) in the Tower of London. People keep them and look after them very well.
You have just visited some interesting places in London. Let’s see how well you know them.
