Цели:
1. образовательная - совершенствование навыков устной речи
2. развивающая – развивать познавательную активность учащихся, формировать умение работать в группах;
3. воспитательная – развивать у учеников самостоятельность мышления, развитие социокультурной компетенции, воспитание толерантности.
Ход мероприятия
Вступительное слово учителя.
We are going to organize a competition of the most quick-witted and the cleverest. The competition will be devoted to English-speaking countries. We shall divide into 2-3 teams. Each team chooses a captain, a name and a motto.
2.Представление команд.
Название, эмблемы, приветствие.
3. Объяснение правил игры.
T: The game has 4 rounds. Each team gets 1 point for a correct answer. The team which answers the most questions - wins the game.

You will hear questions about geography, climate, political situation and history of English-speaking countries. The teams answer the questions in turns.
