ВЕДУЩАЯ: Good afternoon, dear children! Today we’re going to have a very special class; today we’re going to celebrate Christmas that is coming very soon! I would like to start this class with a very nice and lovely Christmas poem.

ВЕДУЩАЯ: Читает короткое стихотворение.

Santa

Two merry blue eyes

A very little nose

A long snowy beard

And cheeks like a rose

A round chubby man

A big bulging pack

Hurrah for Old Santa

We’re glad he’s come back!

ВЕДУЩАЯ: Dear, children! Before having a great time and enjoying our class, let’s watch a message from real Santa Claus who wants to tell us something very important and interesting.

SANTA CLAUS: Dear children around the world, I have something very important to tell you, and from here I’d like to thank the TV stations, the Internet and everyone who has helped me to make this happen. ВЕДУЩАЯ: Well done! It’s a Christmas carol. I can’t imagine the holiday without singing merry and joyful songs that raise our spirits. One of the most famous and popular songs is «Jingle Bells» that tells us about happiness and joy and having fun. Let’s sing this cheerful song.

ВЕДУЩАЯ: Do you know what it is? It is big. It is green. It has got many toys, balls and lights. What is it? (Christmas tree).

ВЕДУЩАЯ: Certainly, it’s a Christmas tree. There is a lovely song about Christmas tree, let’s sing it.

ВЕДУЩАЯ: My next riddle is

It’s blue by night,

By day it’s white.

It is cold and not dry,

It falls from the sky.

ВЕДУЩАЯ: Do you know such famous and outstanding singer as Frank Sinatra, after he sang the song «Let it Snow», it became very popular and for many years it’s been a real symbol of Christmas and New Year! Let’s listen to the recording and enjoy it.

ВЕДУЩАЯ: Definitely, we can’t do without telling poems full of love and kindness that you’ve learnt by heart and ready to declaim.

You know, people believe that every next year might be happier and luckier if they do their best and they promise themselves to be better and kinder and not to do bad things. I would like you to promise yourselves anything you want and try to keep your word! I wish you to have great holidays!
