Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку «Victory day».

(10 класс)

Цель и задачи:
- Активизировать фонетические навыки и навыки выразительного чтения;
- Воспитывать чувство патриотизма, любви к Родине;
- Развивать уважение к ветеранам и воспитывать благодарность людям, отдавшим жизни за Родину;
- Утверждение общечеловеческих ценностей.
Оборудование: мультимедийный проектор, презентация, музыкальное оформление, костюмы, портреты участников Великой Отечественной Войны.

Ведущие: учащиеся 10 класса.

Зрители: учащиеся начальной школы.

P1. Dear friends! These days we are celebrating the 73^rd anniversary of Great Victory. The 9th of May is a special day for all of us. This wonderful holiday is different from all other holidays. It’s a national holiday and at the same time a very personal one.

P2. Every year on May the 9th we recall those difficult years when soviet people were fighting for the Victory over fascism.

P1. The Great Patriotic war broke out on the 22nd of June, 1941. Hitler Germany invaded the Soviet Union when most people were sleeping.

P2. Most soviet airplanes were destroyed on the earth, they even had no time to take off. Equipped with up-to-date weapons, the Nazi were advancing rapidly. Their advance was in three directions: towards Moscow, Leningrad and Kiev.

P3. On the same day our government called on the soviet people to rise up for a patriotic war against the aggressors. The nearer the enemy drew to Moscow, the stronger became the resistance of the soviet people. Thousands of volunteers went to the front. Many young people from the school bench went to the front, too.

P4. The Soviet troops held out against the enormous German army. Though they had suffered heavy losses in dead and wounded, Moscow and Leningrad were not captured.

The rout of the Nazi in the battle of Moscow was their first major defeat in the World War II. The victories of the Soviet Army in the battles of Stalingrad, Kursk, Orel and other cities followed.

Everyone was sure that victory would come soon.

P1. It was a long and hard way to win in the Great Patriotic War. In 1944 the whole of the Soviet Union was liberated.

P2. On the 16th of April 1945 the Red Army and the allied troops surrounded Berlin. On the 8th of May the Act of Unconditional Surrender of Nazi Germany was signed. The capitulation of Japan on the 2nd of September 1945 marked the end of the World War II.

P3. The people of the world should remember that Russia and other republics of the Soviet Union played the main role in the Victory and saved the world from fascism. 27 million people were lost. We should never forget those who gave their lives for our Motherland.

P4. Every year on the 9th of May there are parades in many cities and towns of our country. But the first parade took place in June, 1945.

P1. Nowadays we can see parades on TV, they are held not only in our country, but in many cities and towns all over the world. But the main parade certainly takes place in Red Square in Moscow. Презентация. 10 слайд.

P2. The most touching point is the parade of veterans, those men and women with medals and orders who won the Great Victory. Every year there become less and less of our veterans.

P3. Some years ago people decided to take portraits of their relatives who took part in the Second World War and go to the parade with them. Now it is the tradition - not only in Russia, but all over the world - to walk along streets and squares of our cities and towns with portraits of their heroes. «Бессмертный полк» - that’s how we call this parade in our country.

P4. The Great Patriotic War will be known by all future generations of our people. It is important part of our history.

And we mustn’t forget about those days and about those millions of people who fought against fascists and won the Great Victory for us. We’ll remember them forever.

P1. And we know that some of our pupils took part in yesterday’s parade. Today they have come with portraits of their relatives and we’d like them to tell us about them.
