    1. – Good morning, dear friends!

    - Good morning, friends!

    - Valera, do you like English?

    - Yes, very mush. I like to read and speak it. To tell the truth, I’d like to become an interpreter.

    - Really? I wish you luck. Do you remember the fifth – form when we made our first steps in English?

    - Of course, it was difficult, but very funny. We learnt the ABC, sang English songs. We were younger and we did it with great pleasure.

    - Besides, we learnt small rhymes and some rhythmic songs and even acted fairy-tales.

    - Yes, it was interesting for everybody.

    - But today the fifth-formers will act the tale “The House in the Wood”. Would you like to see it?

    - Yes, I’m ready. It will be great, come on, children.

    2. – Valera, did you read fairy-tales when you were a child?

    - Oh, yes, I’ve read a lot of them. We read them when were in the junior forms, then we read them at the lessons of culture of Bashkortostan.

    - What fairy-tales do you like best?

    - Best of all I like tales about animals. For example, some Bashkir ones like “The fox and the Bear”, “The man and the dog” and others. They are similar to Russian tales but their characters are more naпve and human.

    - Would you like to see one of them?

    - Yes, I would.

    - Then let the sixth-formers show us the fairy-tale “Puff-the-Ball”.

    - Yes, the children were very emotional and funny. Thanks, boys and girls.

    3. – I’d like to add that there are not only tales about animals but many songs for the children, too.

    - Oh, I know many nice songs about cats and dogs, because they are the people’s farourite pets.

    - Now the pupils of the sixth form will sing the song “My cat”.

    - I feel myself a little boy with a cat. Thanks, boys and girls.

    4. – By the way, Vitya, do you know the ABC well?

    - Yes, I do.

    - As for me, I know it better than the Russian alphabet.

    - I wonder, why?

    - Because we’ve learnt the ABC song in the fifth-form, don’t you remember?

    - Yes, I do. I want to add that in our school every year the fifth-formers usually learn and sing with great pleasure.

    - When do they do it?

    - They usually have the ABC fun lesson and the concert during the English decade.

    - Do we have a chance to listen to it today?

    - Sure , they will sing it now. Please, girls, come on.

    The ABC

    5. – Vitya when is you birthday?

    - It’s on the …

    - Do you invite you friends to the party?

    - Yes, sure. Every year my friends come to my place and we have a party. They give me presents and cards, we dance and have much fun.

    - Got any idea what the girls of the eighth form will do now?

    - I think they will sing.

    - I should say that we also sang it when we were in the sixth form during the decade of English at school. It is one of my favorite English songs.

    - Really? Let’s listen to it then.

    My birthday

    6. – Vitya, do you like music?

    - Yes, of course.

    - What kind of music do you like best? What style is closer to you?

    - I prefer modern music such as rock and disco sometimes I listen to classical music, too.

    - When do you usually listen to it?

    - Oh, it depends on my mood, and on the situation I am in.

    - What does it mean?

    - It means that if I am sad I listen to classic, if I am at the disco, naturally I listen to the disco and dance.

    - Do you remember how Natasha and Nastya have sung a very nice song in the ninth form?

    - Yes, I do. It was great. The melody was catching.

    - Now the girls will remind us this fantastic melody. Please, come on, girls “The Phantom of the Opera”.

    7. – You know, Valera, Christmas is coming. Do you remember children’s favourite Christmas song “Jingle, bells” which we learned long ago. I think everybody knows it. Let’s sing it altogether and that’ll be the end of our concert. Sing along! “Jingle, bells”

    - Dear friends, we thank all the pupils and guests for your attention.

    - Our concert is over. Good-bye!
