Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку в 6 классе.

Название: «Интеллектуальный марафон», « Intellectual Marathon ».

Форма проведения: игра-соревнование.

Цели игры:

1. Развивать неподготовленную речь учащихся.

1. Развивать креативные способности учащихся.

2. Воспитывать интерес к изучению предмета.

3. Обобщить страноведческие знания учащихся, полученные на уроках английского языка.

Образовательные задачи:

1. В ходе творческой, самостоятельной, индивидуальной и групповой работы с дидактическими материалами закрепить знания учащихся по изученным темам («Исчисляемые и неисчисляемые существительные », «Степени сравнения прилагательных», и др.) и расширить общий кругозор.

Развивающие задачи:

1. Развивать умение работать в коллективе и принимать совместное решение;

2. Развивать положительные личностные качества (ответственность, доброжелательность, чувство взаимопомощи).

3. Развивать и тренировать внимание, память, мышление.

Воспитательные задачи:

1. Воспитывать уважение к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка.

Ход занятия.

1. Оргмомент. Приветствие ведущего.

Quiz-master: Good afternoon, children and our guests! I’m very glad to see you here. Now we shall organize a competition called “ Intellectual Marathon”. Two teams will take part in a game of the most quick-witted and the cleverest. It’s time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1^st team?

P1: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Erudites”. Our motto is “Enjoy English!”

Quiz-master: Who is the captain of the 2^nd team?

P2: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is “Optimists”. Our motto is “Learn English!”.

I.Quiz-master: And now we come to the 1^st contest of the game called “The ABC game”. Kids, you’ll get some letters from the English alphabet. You must put the letters in the right order, so as to get the name of the English-speaking country. You have 1 minute at your disposal. Each team can get 5 points.

(Карточки с буквами: 1. Е, N, G, L, A, N, D. 2. A, M, E, R, I, C, A).

II.Quiz-master: And now we come to the 2^nd contest which is called “A magic 5”. Look at the square, each team will take turns in answering questions. You’ll choose any number. “ …”, it’s your turn to start. Captains will have an opportunity to choose the number.

You can get 5 points for the right answer.

1. Name 5 adjectives in comparative degree.

2. Name 5 expressions of quantity.

III. Quiz-master: The 3^rd contest is called “Parts and wholes”. I need 1 pupil from each team. You should combine these parts so as to get a popular name. Who will be the first? You can get 1 point for each right answer.

VI.Quiz-master: The following task is for the rest . I need 1 pupil from each team. You should read the tongue-twister as quickly as you can 3 times.

VII.Quiz-master: The 7^th contest is called “The right choice”. It’s very important to make the right choice in our life: the right choice of a color, a hobby, a friend etc. Each team should answer my questions. You’ll get the cards with some sentences. Choose the right sentences .

1. A Lion is more dangerous than a mouse.

2. My brother is the tallest than me.

3. Math is difficulter than English.

4. Supermarkets are bigger than corner stores.

5. Football is an interesting sport.

6. Winter is hotter than summer in Kazakhstan.

Each team can get 1 point for the right answer.

VIII .Quiz-master: “Who has got more rays?” You will get 25 words and you must choose them about food and drinks . Дети получают 25 слов, они должны выбрать по теме «Еда и напитки» и наклеить их на ватман. Победителем является тот, у кого не останется лучей без слов и правильными по теме. Плакаты вешают на доску и читают, за правильные слова учащиеся получают жетоны.

Book , pencil, tea, milk, camera, egg, hot dog, banana, jeans , T-shirt, orange, coffee, sugar, apple, juice, cake , tomato, doctor, student , carrot, cheeseburger, hamburger, meat, rice, ice-cream.

1. Заключительный этап. Подведение итогов игры.

Quiz-master: Friends, do you like music? Listen to the song “Do You Live in London?”` now and sing with British children. Our jury will add up the score of the game.
