Chant (all pupils): Are you ready to sing?

Are you ready to play?

Are you ready to have

A party today?

Get ready, get set

And go – hey, hey!

Your friends are here

So it’s time to play!

Р1: Let’s play our English story about Little Red Riding Hood!

All: OK! Let’s play!

Р2: Look! This is Little Red Riding Hood’s house.

Р3: Her house is nice!

Р4: Her house is great!

Song: This is my house.

This is the door.

The windows are clean.

And so is the floor!

Outside there’s chimney

As tall as can be,

With smoke that goes up,

Come and see!

II

(Little Red Riding Hood goes out.)

Little Red Riding Hood: Hello! Do you know me?

Little Red Riding Hood: My name’s Little Red Riding Hood.

All: No, we don’t.

Little Red Riding Hood: I get this name, because my Granny made me a warm red cloak with a hood and I always wear it. I like it very much.

I’ve got a lot of toys. I like to play with them. And you?

All: We like to play, too.

Song: Toys for me,

Toys for you,

Toys for everyone!

A pink ballerina,

A blue toy soldier!

We’re all having fun!

Toys for me,

Toys for you,

Toys for everyone!

A brown teddy bear,

A yellow doll!

We’re all having fun!

Mother: Little Red Riding Hood, Little Red Riding Hood! What are you doing?

Little Red Riding Hood: I am playing with my toys!

Mother: Little Red Riding Hood! Today is your Granny’s birthday. I’ve baked a chocolate cake. Take a cake, some apples and a jug of honey to her.

Mother gives a basket to Little Red Riding Hood.

Little Red Riding Hood: OK, Mummy!

Mother: Now, Little Red Riding Hood, listen to me carefully.

Little Red Riding Hood: Yes, Mummy. I’m listening.

Mother: Don’t run or you may fall down with your basket.

Little Red Riding Hood: Yes, Mummy, I will.

Mother: Don’t go slowly or you will be late.

Little Red Riding Hood: No, Mummy, I won’t.

Mother: Just go quickly and carefully.

Little Red Riding Hood: Yes, Mummy, I will.

Mother: Don’t stop in the wood.

Little Red Riding Hood: No, Mummy, I won’t.

Mother: Don’t talk to anyone on the way.

Little Red Riding Hood: No, Mummy, I won’t.

Mother: Be very careful!

Little Red Riding Hood: I will do as you tell me, Mummy! Goodbye!

Mother: Goodbye, my darling!

III

Little Red Riding Hood: How nice it is in the wood! There are many trees, flowers, mushrooms and berries.

Little Red Riding Hood: I like flowers that are bright.

I like flowers that are white.

I like flowers with a smell.

I like flowers very well.

Wolf: Good morning! How are you this morning?

Little Red Riding Hood: Good morning! I’m just fine, thank you. And how are you?

Wolf: I am fine, my dear. What’s your name?

Little Red Riding Hood: My name is Little Red Riding Hood.

Wolf: I’m very happy to meet you. I have heard so many nice things about you.

Little Red Riding Hood: You have?

Wolf: Oh, yes, everyone says you are a good little girl.

Little Red Riding Hood: Oh, thank you very much. You are very kind.

Wolf: What’s that smell? What’s that smell? Do I smell a cake?

Little Red Riding Hood: Yes, you do. It’s a cake, a chocolate cake. My Mummy made it for Granny. She is home alone. It’s her birthday today. I’m going to see her.

Wolf: What a nice little girl! Where does your Granny live?

Little Red Riding Hood: She lives in the village. You can see it from here. Her house is the first house in the village. Sorry, I’m in a hurry!

Wolf: Little Red Riding Hood! It’s a very nice day today! I have an idea. Little Red Riding Hood! Look around! Look at the nice flowers! Why don’t you pick some flowers up for your Granny?

Little Red Riding Hood: It’s a good idea!

Wolf: Well, now I must go. Goodbye, my darling!

Little Red Riding Hood: Goodbye, Mr. Wolf!

IY

Squirrel: Hello, Little Red Riding Hood!

Little Red Riding Hood: Hello, my dear friend, squirrel! Nice to see you!

Squirrel: Nice to see you too.

Little Red Riding Hood: What are you doing?

Squirrel: I’m gathering some acorns and nuts for winter food for me and my family.

Little Red Riding Hood: How are you?

Squirrel: I’m very busy, but the day is so wonderful. Let’s play a little!

Little Red Riding Hood: OK! Let’s play!

Squirrel: One, two, three – catch me, please.

Bluebell: “Ding-dong, ding-dong…”

Little Red Riding Hood: What is it?

Bluebell: “Ding-dong, ding-dong…” –

So the bluebells sing the song.

This song’s so long:

“Ding-dong, ding-dong…”

Little Red Riding Hood: Who are you?

Bluebell: I’m the Bluebell. I’m blue like the sky and my dress is like a bell. (Curtseys)

Do you like my song?

Little Red Riding Hood: Yes, I do. Ding, ding!

Bluebell: Oh! You cannot sing my song!

Try to make “Ding!”

Then try to make “Dong!”

“Ding-dong, ding-dong…”

Little Red Riding Hood: What a nice song “Ding-dong, ding-dong…” Let’s be friends!

Bluebell: OK. With great pleasure! Meet my friend Rose!

Little Red Riding Hood: Where is she?

Rose: I’m here.

Little Red Riding Hood: What a beautiful flower! What a good smell! Nice to meet you!

Rose: Nice to meet you too! I have many dresses – red, yellow, pink, white. Today I’ve got a pink dress. I come when the sun is hot. Then I smell lovely and you know that I am here.

Bluebell: Summer’s here!

Days are long.

And the sun

Is high and strong.

Squirrel: Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Honey’s sweet

Bluebell, Rose, Squirrel: And so are you!

Little Red Riding Hood: Thank you, my dear little friends.

Grasshopper: Chirp, chirp, chirp!

Bluebell: Grasshopper, grasshopper! What do you say?

Grasshopper: Chirp, chirp, chirp!

It’s a lovely, beautiful day!

What are you doing, standing so?

I’m looking around for a place to go.

Little Red Riding Hood: Come here, by my feet.

Grasshopper: I’m coming – a great big jump!

Let us make a merry ring,

Talk and laugh, and dance and sing!

Quickly, quickly come away,

For it is a pleasant day.

Song and dance

There was once a grasshopper.

There was once a grasshopper.

In thick grass he was sitting

Like cucumber, so green.

Remember, my friend.

Remember, my friend.

In thick grass

He was sitting.

Remember, my friend.

Remember, my friend.

Like cucumber, so green.

His food was only green grass,

His food was only green grass,

He wouldn’t touch an insect.

He made good friends with flies.

Remember, my friend.

Remember, my friend.

He wouldn’t touch an insect.

Remember, my friend.

Remember, my friend.

He made good friends with flies.

Little Red Riding Hood: I’m happy and merry! It is a wonderful day! But I’m sorry, I must go!

Y

Grandmother: Who is there?

Wolf: It’s me, Little Red Riding Hood!

Grandmother: Pull the string, my dear, and the door will open.

The Wolf runs up to Grandmother and wants to catch her up, but she runs away. The Wolf puts on Grandmother’s dress and cap and lies in bed.

Little Red Riding Hood: Clap, clap, clap,

Rap, rap, rap,

I’m knocking at the door,

Tap, tap, tap.

Wolf: Who is there?

Little Red Riding Hood: It’s me, Little Red Riding Hood.

Wolf: Come in, my dear!

Little Red Riding Hood: Good morning, Granny!

Wolf: Good morning, Little Red Riding Hood!

Little Red Riding Hood: Happy Birthday, dear Granny!

Wolf: Thank you, my dear!

Little Red Riding Hood:  (Присматривается к бабушке) Oh, Granny, what big ears you have!

Wolf: The better to hear you. Come here, my dear, come here.

Little Red Riding Hood: Oh, Granny, what big eyes you have!

Wolf: The better to see you. Come here, my dear, come here.

Little Red Riding Hood: Oh, Granny, what great mouth and teeth you have?

Wolf: The better to eat you up!

And the Wolf jumps out of the bed and wants to catch Little Red Riding Hood.

Little Red Riding Hood: Help! Help!

Grandmother and the Hunters come in. The Hunters shoots and the Wolf falls down.

Hunters: Oh dear, what’s the matter?

Don’t worry! Don’t worry!

Oh dear, what’s the matter?

You are feeling so scared.

Little Red Riding Hood: Now, I’m all right. Thank you very much!

Hunters: Oh! It’s really nothing.

Grandmother: It’s my birthday today. I invite you to my birthday party.

Song: Happy birthday to you.

Happy birthday to you.

Happy birthday, dear Granny.

Happy birthday to you!

Hunter1: Bring the eggs,

Bring the cheese.

Let’s make lots

Of sandwiches!

Hunter2: Bring the bananas

And the chocolate

Put your sandwich

On a plate!

Hunter3: Hurry, hurry,

Come and see!

Today there’s a party,

Just for me!

Hunter4: With burgers, biscuits,

And bananas too!

There’re lots to eat

For me and you!

Hunter5: Pizza, chips

And sandwiches!

And candles on a cake

To make a wish!

Chant: One, two, three, four,

Yummy chocolate,

Give me more!

Five, six, seven, eight,

My favourite food

Is chocolate!

Little Red Riding Hood: Look! Here is a birthday chocolate cake for you!

All: Hurray!

Song: Yummy, yummy chocolate

That’s what I like!

Chocolate on a biscuit,

Chocolate on a cake!

I don’t like eggs

And I don’t like cheese!

But yummy, yummy chocolate,

Ooh, yes, please!
