Theme of the lesson:Sport in our life.
Form of the lesson: Competition
Aims of the lesson:
1. To give pupils more information about sport.
2. To talk about the importance of sports in our life.
3. To enrich pupils' vocabulary on topic. 4. To increase students ' interest in learning English;
5. To develop the ability to work in a team.
Visual aids: cards and pictures, posters, stickers, elements of new technology.

Greeting.
Good afternoon dear pupils, good afternoon dear guests! Welcome to our game, I am glad to invite you on a competition. Today we will speak about Sport. And what is the place of sport in our life?
People all over the world are fond of sports and games. Sport makes people healthy, keeps them fit, more organized and better disciplined.
Let me to introduce teams and their captains.

I wish you good luck! Let’s start our competition!
I STATION
LET’S GET Acquainted
Introduction of the team’s members.
The captain of each team introduces the members of his/her team. Then all team says the motto.
In this task, each team can get maximum 2 stars.
II. Warming-up activity
Teacher: Now let’s discus what is healthy for us and what is harmful? Learners recognize which statements are correct and which are not.
Learners take poster. In a minute they should write as more words as possible concerning with sport.
Team which writes more words takes a score.
Proverbs .
Learners should finish the proverbs.
III. Where can I play?
Indoor and out door sport activities!
Learners take posters and flashcards of different sport activities. They should group these activities into indoor and outdoor sports.
Teams can score 2 points. The team which completes the task first correctly, scores 2 points. Other teams can score 1 point.
IV Physical activities
Let’s relax and do some physical activities.
1) Learners make rhysical activities.
2) Learners blowing up balloons.
V. POPULAR SPORTS
Complete the poster to compare popular sports in Kazakhstan and Great Britain. Compare what kinds of sports are popular in Kazakhstan and Great Britain. Teams can get 1 star.
WHO WANTS TO GET THE PRIZE?
This task is for each learner. It’s individual task. I will dictate 10 words and you should try to remember as many as you can. Put your pens and listen to: play, horse racing, gym, champion, tennis, swimming pool, bicycle, ice, and team. You have one minute to write all words you remember. The learner who tells more words wins the prize.
Captains’ competition
The last stage is “Captain Competition”
Captains answer the questions. Each captain takes 2 questions from the magic box.How many players each team has in basketball?
Who is the most famous cyclist in Kazakhstan?
How many players each team has in volleyball?
Who is the most famous boxer in Kazakhstan?
How many players each team has in football?
What is the most popular sport in the world?
Additional question: I’m a horse without legs and body. I jump, but I never run. What kind of a horse am I?
It was the last stage. Let’s count scores and award the winners!

Teacher: Tell me please what do you think about sport? Is it necessary in our life? Are you for sport or against it?
Sport is good because
It makes me strong and fast. It helps me to keep fit. It builds character. It teachers me to win and to lose. It’s very good for my heart. We enjoy it
