School ethnographic Museum began its work in 2012 on the initiative of the school administration, teachers and students. Head of the Museum is Maksimkina M. P. The students can learn about traditions, customs and crafts in various regions of Russia here.

There are six expositions at the museum:

1. «Utensils in the peasant house»

2. «From the germ to a linen shirt»

3. «Folk art»

4. «Russian folk costume»

5. «Russian folk instruments»

6. « Folk art-source of inspiration»

The museum has got over 200 exhibits. The table, benches are reproduced according to the stories of old people.

Pride of place in the house is the Red Сorner. Here you can find icons, lamps, candles.

In the middle of the room there was a table. The samovar stood in the middle of the table.

In the house everything started with a Russian stone. People used it not only for food preparing but they got warm. Children can learn about the secrets of bread during the lessons at the museum. You can see pottery, iron pots, casts, a sieve, a poker, a trough and other things.

People ironed their clothes with the help of the ruble and rolling pin. Then the coal irons appeared.

Women spun yarn on spinning wheels and woven on the loom.

Peasants decorated their houses and clothes by embroidery and lace.

Peasants wore folk costumes: Russian saraphans, kokoshniks, boots, lapti.

Every family had musical instruments. They did not only work hard but they also knew how to relax. . They sang songs, danced, played folk games.

Classes, lessons, meetings take place at the museum. During the city contest "Parks, museums, farms" 64 groups visited our «Russian Gornitsa».

For the school performances and projects students often use the exhibits of the museum such as costumes and musical instruments.

The museum organizes holidays, for example: "Maslenitsa", "Christmas", "Vasiliev’s Day" and others. Not only students and teachers but also parents take part in the celebrations.
