• Dear teachers, guests and pupils, welcome to our English week. You know today is the second day of the week. Today we have a competition between the 5^th forms. The theme of our competition is “We like to speak English”. There are four teams. There are three pupils in each team. Let me introduce our juries. They are English teachers.

The 1^st round of our competition is introduction. One of the pupils of each team must introduce themselves.

At the next 2^nd round you must divide given words into two groups to the sounds [ԑ:] [e]

The 3^rd round is questions. You must answer them, and for every right question you earn 1 point.

1. What is the date today? (today is the 2^nd of February)

2. What season is it now? (it is winter)

3. How many seasons are there in the year? (There are 4 seasons in a year)

4. How many days are there in a week? (There are 7 days in a week)

5. What colour is the flag of our country?(It is blue and yellow)

6. What is the name of our president? (The name of our president is N.Nazarbaev)

7. Where do you go everyday in the morning?(Everyday in the morning I go to school)

8. When is your birthday? (My birthday is in … on the … of…)

9. What do you want to be? (I want to be a\an …)

10. What day don’t you go to school? (we don’t go to school on Sundays)

Our next round is to think as many words as you can from this word:

acknowledgement (a, an, and, know, knowledge, old, men,ten, low, age, cat, go,gentleman, no, me)

In the 5^th round imagine that you are teachers. I’ll give you the letter and you must find mistakes and correct them.

To the right of the house there are two flowers. One flower is red, the second flower is blue. Under the tree there is a black dog. In the tree there is a fat grey cat.
