І. Organization moment.

Good afternoon, dear teachers, dear pupils! Welcome to the party! We congratulate you with the holiday of languages! Nowadays it is very important to learn three languages: Kazakh, Russian and English. As you know there about 3 thousand languages in the world. English is the most widespread. It is the official language in many countries. It is the official language of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the USA, in Australia and New Zealand. English is used as one of the official languages in Canada, in the Irish Republic and the Republic of South Africa. It is also spoken as a second language in many parts of India and Africa. English is now dominant or official language in more than 60 countries in the world. It is a language of Internet and it has become the language of business, politics, science, communication.

Today at our school we have a big competition “« A trip to the Knowledgeland» ( білім еліне саяхат) Before our competition let’s invite our judges. They will give you marks for the competition. Бүгінгі сайысымыз “”білім еліне саяхат деп аталады. Сайысымызды бастамас бұрын әділ-қазылар алқасын сайлап алайық.

Text for 8/ th form

There was once a very rich man. He had three cars and two houses and many other things. One day he said, «I am getting old. I’m going to sell everything and buy a big piece of gold. »

He sold his houses and his cars and everything and he bought a very big piece of gold. He dug a hole near a tree, and he put the piece of gold into the hole. «No one will find my gold here», he said.

Every day he went back and dug up the gold. He looked at it and said, «Good! My gold is there». Then he put the gold back into the hole and put the earth back on top of it.

There are four types of schools in the English and Welsh education system – nursery, primary, secondary and private schools. Scotland has its own education system, which is different.

Children start school at the age of five, but there is some free nursery-school education before that age. The state nursery schools are not for all. They are for some families, for example for families with only one parent.
