A Magic Journey to the Planet of Knowledge

Цели:

обобщение материала, изученного в 3 классе;

совершенствование навыков монологической и диалогической речи, а также грамматики;

активизация лексических и фонетических навыков;

воспитание любознательности и толерантности;

приобщение учащихся к культуре англоговорящих и других стран в рамках мероприятия

Оборудование: мультимедийный проектор, задания на А4 для каждого класса, перечень конкурсов для жюри, “cookie” для песни.

Ход мероприятия

(сл.1)Teacher: Today we’ll have a magic journey to the planet of knowledge. Сегодня мы совершим увлекательное путешествие на планету Знаний. You should do the tasks and then you’ll learn a lot of interesting facts about different things. Ваше путешествие будет долгим, поэтому вы будете делать остановки на разных планетах, выполнять различные задания, и как награду – получать информацию из разных сфер нашей жизни. Let’s start. (сл.2)

The first planet is the ABC planet – планета Английского алфавита. Знакомьтесь с жителями этой планеты – (сл.3)

Pupil 1: Hello. Welcome to the ABC planet. You should make words which you need in your journey. Here some letters and be quick in this task.

Pupil 1: Great job! Now listen and remember interesting facts about English alphabet: (сл.5)

More English words begin with the letter "s" than with any other letter. Больше всего английских слов начинается с буквы “S”, чем с других букв.

Only two English words end in "-gry". They are "angry" and "hungry". Всего лишь два английских слова заканчиваются на “-gry”: angry and hungry.

(сл.6)The following sentence contains all 26 letters of the alphabet: "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." В английском алфавите 26 букв и в этом предложении использованы все 26 букв английского алфавита. Let’s read this sentence all together.

Teacher: The second planet is the planet of Rules – планета правил. (сл.7)

Pupil 2: Welcome to the planet of rules. You should make rules for yourself. Say as many commands as possible and be the winner. На планете правил правила придумываете именно вы, победителем в этом испытании будет тот, кто придумает и назовет как можно больше правил.

Выбрать членов команды. Дети называют команды, если кто-либо из участников повторил команду или не может ее придумать, садиться на место. Победит тот, кто останется стоять последним.

Pupil 2: (сл.8)Listen some interesting facts about school rules. Most Japanese schools don’t have janitors. Children do the cleaning daily as part of a school practice. The kids come in and bow before and after a lesson thanking the teacher. В большинстве японских школ нет уборщиц, ученики сами убирают классы, это их каждодневная обязанность. Перед уроком и после него дети кланяются учителю, таким образом, благодарят его за урок.

(сл.9)Kids in Mali in Africa spend only 2 years in school. Many of them start working between the ages of 10 and 14. В Африканской стране Мали дети учатся в школе всего лишь 2 года, потому что они начинают работать уже с 10-14 лет.

Teacher: Now let’s stop here. It is the Cartoon planet. (сл.10)

Pupil 3: Welcome to the Cartoon planet. It is the most magic and fantastic planet. You should watch cartoons and then match the cartoon hero with his friend. На самой сказочной и волшебной планете мультфильмов вам предстоит определить друга мультипликационного героя.

Mickey Mouse has white gloves because Walt Disney thought that mice have ugly nails and children mustn’t see them. У Микки Мауса белые перчатки, потому что создатель мультфильма Уолт Дисней считал, что у мышей очень страшные ногти и дети не должны на них смотреть.

(сл.14)After seeing “Kung Fu Panda”, you can learn a few Chinese words. Если вы смотрели мультфильм панда, то вы уже выучили несколько китайских слов. For example, the names of the main characters mean "Shifu" - "teacher", "Tai Lung" - "the great dragon", "Ugvey" - "turtle".

Teacher: The next station is the Tourist planet. (сл.15)Our tourists Taya and Sasha came here and you should guess from what countries they came. Say why you think so.

Pupil 4: Hello. The capital of my country is Moscow. The flag of my country is white, blue and red. The symbols of my country are a birch, a brown bear and a camomile. I speak Russian. I like playing football and tennis. My country is famous for caviar, pancakes, porridge, matryoshka doll and the Red Square.

Pupil 5: The capital of my country is London. The flag of my country is white, red and blue. The symbols of my country are a lion, an oak and a red rose. I speak English. I like playing football and rugby. My country is famous for 5 o’clock tea, a red bus, porridge and internet.

(сл.23)The mayor of Sharon, the town of the United States of America is a cat. Мэр города Шэрон в США – кот. He eats, sleeps and walks and he has an own office. Настоящий мэр Шарона не обиделся, поскольку такой должности как «мэр» в городе нет вовсе – есть только президент.

Pupil 5: (сл.24)The youngest teacher in the world is Barbar Ali. He was 9 years old when he become a teacher. He woke up at 4 o’clock in the morning, then did house hold chores and went to school. He founded the first school in his native town Murshidabad. Now he is 14 years old and he is a headmaster of this school. Барбар Али, житель маленького городка Муршидабад в Индии, стал самым молодым учителем в мире. Ему было 9 лет, когда он начал учить детей. Сейчас ему 14, и он самый молодой директор собственной школы.

Teacher: The fifth planet is the planet № 5. (сл.25)

Pupil 6: Welcome to the planet number five. You should name five different things.

Pupil 7: Welcome to the Animal Planet. Different animals live there and they like to ask riddles and you should guess what are the names of these animals. Угадайте, какие животные перед вами.

Выходят дети второго класса.

Дети второго класса загадывают загадки о животных.

Pupil 7: Now you should draw a fantastic animal and describe it. Придумайте, нарисуйте и опишите животное.

Pupil 7: Now listen some interesting facts about animals. (сл.46)Hens sleep with one eye open. Baby Giraffe is 2m tall at birth. A rat can last longer without water than a camel.

Teacher: The next planet is the Favourite planet. (сл.47)

Pupil 8: Welcome to the Favourite planet. In this planet you should guess what your friends like. Ask each other a question: “What is your favourite thing?” and try to guess the answer.
