INTERPRETATION OF ZOON AND ZOOMORPHISM IN THE POEMS OF MUHAMMAD YUSUF.

Annotation: This article presents a new interpretation of the work of the male poet of the people of Uzbekistan Muhammad Yusuf, which provides information about the zoonyms and zoomorphisms in the poems of the writer, and exactly what they were used for.

Introduction. In linguistic research, we sometimes come across the terms zoonym and zoomorphism, which, unfortunately, are not clearly defined in the sources. Scientific studies have shown that they are synonymous with each other, and that zoonyms are biological names and nicknames given to animals, and that zoomorphisms are linguistic units that form metaphorical meanings. Sometimes such studies use the same lexical unit, which includes the terms zoonym and zoomorphism. The difference is not clear. In this study, the following differences and limitations were made in the use of zoonyms and zoomorphisms in linguistic units and phraseological units:

Zoonim is the name of an animal (biological and onomasiological: horse (animal name) → Qashqa (nickname of a horse), which has no figurative meaning. Zoonyms describe the biological properties of an animal. dog restless and so on.

Zoomorphisms are nomadic names of animals that are actively used in metaphorical modeling: fox (cunning man) → to be like a fox (to be cunning). The Uzbek scholar M. Yuldashev described the metaphor as "a transfer of meaning based on the similarity between objects, events and phenomena" and cited interesting zoometaphors in his research. . Mas. : Encounter with a chameleon (Q. In this example, a chameleon is a person who, in a pragmatic sense, is a person who is changeable and does not always agree.

The main part. We know that the use of animal names or images in poetry not only enhances the imagery in the poems, but also makes them more effective. Poems express human characteristics through the use of animal images. In other words, the exemplary ideas expressed in the poem are addressed to people, not to the animal mentioned in the poem. Often people are ridiculed, criticized, or praised because of the nature of the animals.

Let us now do a little research on the example of the work of Muhammad Yusuf, an artist who was able to make effective use of such zoonyms or zoomorphisms.

I had a white tulpar,

The beys were hard on him.

Brothers, it's me

He was a friend.

When I kissed the road, I knelt down,

He drank water from my palm.

Chux, desam yer changitib,

He was flying in the skies.

In the above verse, one of the characteristics of a person's personal character is "White tulpar", which is a symbol of loyalty and friendship.

Heartbroken trail,

It's too purple.

How foolish to throw stones at you,

Jayron, why are your eyes full of tears?

You cried so hard,

I also have a traveler in you

O meek, O believing creature,

Jayron, why are your eyes full of tears?

In the above passage, it is clear that the zoomorphism of "Jayron" is a metaphorical description of a wounded man in the hands of a traveler, that is, an animal that has suffered from others and is suffering. expressiveness. It is clear that the poet has always sympathized with the oppressed people who have seen hard times.

You came running on one foot,

The lame crane,

Where did you find my house,

A lame crane?

Strangers, this is a sight,

It fell on his head

To my heart too,

They threw stones.

In these verses, the poet's heart is drawn to the lame crane, which is stoned and wounded. It is in this verse that the "crane" becomes both a zoonym and a zoomorphism, meaning that both the symbolic crane and the natural bird of prey are expressed in pity.


Not the wind, the bow followed the trail,

Sayyad also destroyed my hut.

Your soul, my soul is a saving soul,

Male deer, can I have a pet? ..

Let's cry together,

To dry springs in the desert,

We were both tortured,

Male deer, can I have a pet?

In the poem "Male deer" the deer is given as a symbol of freedom, instability and freedom. Why "male deer"? The writer's choice emphasizes that his situation during the dictatorship is like that of a wounded deer, but that he also wants to be free, to pamper someone, but it is not possible. This image is both zoonomic and zoomorphic, as it is biologically free and free-ranging, moving from mountain to mountain, from pasture to pasture.

A beautiful girl wipes my hair,

And tears from my eyes.

I am deceived by liars,

I feed my heart to tigers.

Old world, these girls are so beautiful,

When I look, the moon is beautiful in the sky.

The more beautiful, the more beautiful Aldar! ..

In the poem "Liars", the tiger is considered active as a zoon, and the poet chose him to feed his heart, which is better to die once than to suffer again and again, when his heart is torn from lies and deceptions. .


From birth I was born with the blood of misery,

Two souls fighting in one body.

When I fought, he hit me hard,

Butterflies are kinder than humans…?


Conclusion. Butterfly zoomorphism in this poem, because, of course, there is a symbolism in the background. In addition to what we have seen above, his poems include "White Ram", "Nightingale", "Swallow", "Cranes".
