Урок-викторина для студентов I-II курсов СПО «What do you know about sport?»

Цели мероприятия:

• дидактические: обобщить знания студентов по изученному материалу;

• воспитательные: воспитывать уважительное отношение к культурным ценностям, спорту; воспитывать такие черты характера, как взаимопомощь и сотрудничество;

• развивающие: совершенствовать произносительные навыки, умения применять лексику по теме “Спорт”, развивать логическое мышление, умение обобщать, сравнивать; развитие навыков самостоятельной работы и работы в команде.

Дидактические средства: карточки с заданиями для групповой работы, жетоны для оценивания студентов, презентация

ТСО: мультимедийная установка, компьютер, проектор

Первый конкурс  «What sports they are»

• You will see the equipment of different kinds of sport, say as quickly as possible what sport it is

На слайде изображены атрибуты разных видов спорта. Команды по очереди угадывают вид спорта.

Volleyball, swimming, jogging, skiing, skating, sailing, rugby, polo, diving, curling

Второй конкурс  «Guess!»

  - Now I shall give you descriptions of some kinds of sport and your task is to listen and say what sports they are. Translate the sentences.

Guess what game or sport is described!

-A game in which you use long sticks called clubs to hit a small ball into holes that are spread out over a large area of grassy land. (golf)

-A game played by two people each with 12 round pieces, on a board of 64 squares (draughts)

-A game in which players use rackets to hit a small feathered object called a shuttlecock (badminton)

-The sport of lifting specially shaped pieces of metal that weigh an exact amount (weightlifting)

-It is a game played on a table using round wood bats and a small plastic ball (ping-pong) 

-It is a game of two players. Each of them starts with 16 different playing pieces to move on a board. The aim is to move your pieces so that your opponent’s king will be taken (chess).
