Цель урока: Развитие коммуникативных умений в устной речи.
Задачи урока:
Образовательная: развивать умения общения на английском языке, умения аудирования; активизировать лексику по теме, формировать социокультурную компетенцию.
Развивающая: развивать интеллектуальные способности обучающихся, самостоятельность мышления, способствовать развитию чувства языка, языковой догадки, выбирать убедительную аргументацию, уточняющую собственную позицию.
Воспитательная: развивать умения сотрудничества в условиях групповой работы, прививать уважение и интерес к стране изучаемого языка.
Речевой материал: раздаточный материал для групповой работы
Организационный момент. Сообщение темы и целей урока.
Good morning, dear friends! How are you? I hope you are fine and let’s start our lesson. Welcome to the last lesson. I think we have an interesting and important theme of the lesson today because you are the eleventh graders, you are going to have your final exams soon and of course you think about your future education. Am I right? So, look at the blackboard, the theme of our lesson is hidden in these words: after, what, school, happens. Give your version. Translate.

You know that people must be tolerant to each other, so let’s start with saying compliments.

For me school is… (вытягивают cards) P: 11 merry years, a great game, a lottery, lucky and unlucky cards, a control of knowledge, a sad necessity, good marks, parties and holidays, an interesting journey, new impressions.
Do you often think about your final exams? Are you worried and nervous about taking exams? I see, you are worried about exams, maybe you’re scared. You have to revise and revise and revise a lot, so stressful! But I try to help you. Divide into groups. Each group consists of student, school psychologists (they are very competent) and a doctor. Students tell them about their feelings and problems and psychologists and doctors should listen to them, and try to give useful tips and advices how to cope with stress before exams.

Student1. I am so scared. The examination procedure is strict. I have to pass exams with excellent grades in order to get a place in a university.
Student2. I am so nervous. I am afraid of Math tests. And I have already started revising for my Math tests.
Student3. I suppose it’s good to have exams. Sometimes it’s a nice surprise to see that I’ve done better than I expected. And I like tests because the classroom is always so quiet and it helps to concentrate and do your best.
Student4. My final exams make me depressed and worried. I’ll have to revise a lot of material. It is so stressful.
Psychologists:
Plan your work: revise at times when you know you will work at your best. Take short rests during your time of work and revision. If your mind is tired, it will not remember well.
Get help: ask a teacher or tutor about how to revise, and exam skills - how to work when you are in an exam. Maybe you can speak to a friend or someone in your family.
If you are studying in the evening, don't go straight to bed afterwards. Your mind will still be 'going round and round' - thinking too much. Do something else, maybe walk or get exercise. Choose something that will relax you, and make you think of other things.
Think positive. Make short notes of the important points. Then you can read through it faster in the last few days. And try to relax sometimes. Funny video, pets, walks can help you to cope with stress.
But don't be too relaxed! Some stress over exams makes you work hard for them.
Doctors:
Create your exam timetable. Your plan should include plenty of time for studying, regular breaks and solid sleep time. Get enough sleep. Do exercise: you need exercise to work well. Walk, run, play sport - whatever you enjoy.
Do not try to study with the TV on or with music. Study in a good environment.
Meditation brings calm and focus to your mind. Sit quietly in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and breathe in slowly and deeply. Feel the stress leave your body with your breath. Focus on not thinking about anything.
Eat healthy food. You should eat one banana a day to be energetic and healthy. Avocado is a source of energy. It helps you to concentrate your attention. Nuts strengthen your nervous system. And lemon refreshes your thoughts and you can perceive much information.
