Тема урока: « Здоровье. Нет болезням».


Цель урока: Формирование навыка говорения - рассказать о своей проблеме со здоровьем на приеме у врача, используя условные предложения, дать совет, как лечить данную болезнь (конструкция: If you have flu, you should……).


Задачи урока:

  1. Повторить названия болезней, использовать в речи лексику, обозначающую средства лечения.

  2. Развивать умение спросить совета  и дать совет, развивать умение выразить свое мнение, развивать умение пользоваться таблицами при выполнении задания и заполнять  таблицы, развивать умение вести диалог.

  3. Воспитывать умение вежливого общения, умения придти на помощь товарищу, если у него есть проблемы со здоровьем, умение работать в парах, в команде, сотрудничать, помогая друг другу.


Технологии: индивидуальная, парная, групповая работа, ролевая игра « На приеме у врача», использование ИКТ, здоровье сберегающие технологии.


Ресурсы: Интерактивная доска, проектор, мультимедийный экран, материал для презентации, учебник.

На партах учеников - карточки «На приеме у врача», карточки для выполнения упражнений, карточки с новой лексикой.

The procedure of the lesson.

1. Organization moment.

Teacher: Good morning, children. Sit down and prepare for the lesson.

  • Who is on duty today?

  • Who is absent today?

  • What is the date today?

Teacher: Well, today we have an unusual lesson. Today we’ll talk about how to treat them, what you should do to feel better. I am not a teacher today. I’m a doctor. My name is Mrs. Herb. And I’ll give you some advice how to be healthy. There are a lot of different remedies. I divided the class into 3-groups. These cards I’ll give you for marks: a happy boy is “5”, a tired boy is “4”, and an ill boy is “3”. Pupils, you should try not to be an ill boy.

2. The new theme. Awaking stage.

Teacher: - Children, look at this picture. (slide 3) -What do you see in this picture? (slide 4) - Two friends. – What season is it? -It’s winter. - How do you think who will catch a cold first? - The girl who puts light clothes on. - Why do you think so? -I think so because she doesn’t keep warm . The weather is frosty, the temperature is below Zero.

Teacher: Well, our theme is HealthKeep warm”.  At this lesson we are going to speak about problems and their treatment. Children, what season is it now? It’s winter now. Good. We know that people have some problems in winter.

3. Vocabulary and pronunciation.

Teacher: Now, children look at these new words.

А) Listen and repeat. (slide 6)

Tired [`taiәd] – усталый.

Angry [`әengri] - сердитый.

Happy [`hәepi] - счастливый.

Worried [`warid] - обеспокоенный.

Cold [`kәuld] - холодный.

Ill [`il] - больной.

Unhappy [аn`hәepi ] - несчастный.

Bored [`bo:d] - скучающий.

В) Match these expressions and the new words with the pictures:

  • Group A – 4-sentences

  • Group B – 4- sentences

  • Group C – 4 - sentences.  (slide 8)

4. Reflection.

Teacher: Let’s sing the song “Tap and clap”. (slide 9)

5. Grammar revision: Modal verbs.

Teacher: 1. Look at these modal verbs and remember them. (slide 10 ) 2. Read the doctor’s advice, translate them. (slide 11) 3. Correct the sentences using the modal verbs: should or shouldn’t, must or mustn’ t . (slide 12 )

4. Look at the sentences and complete the sentences using the new words and expressions .

Example: If you have a cold, you should…(consult a doctor). (slide 13)

5. Read the sentences and put them in the right order. (slide 14)

Teacher: Good for you. Play more outdoor games.



6. Reading and speaking.

Teacher: Good for you. Boys and girls now let’s work with this text. Open your books to page 98. This is Asel’s diary.

a) Group A will read the text.

b) Group B will translate the text.

c) Group C will do the task True or False.

  1. Speaking

Teacher: Now, children, imagine that some of you have a health problem and you go to a doctor for advice.

a) Work in pairs. Read a short dialogue “At the doctor’s”. (slide 15)

b) Act out the dialogue.

c) Make your own dialogue according to the examples. Use the new words and expressions you have learnt.

Pupil A is a patient. Tell the doctor about your problem and get his (her) advice.

Pupil B is a doctor. Listen to the patient’s problems, give him (her) advice and fill in the patient’s card. (slide16 )

Pupil A: I have got a sore throat, a temperature and a headache. What should I do?

Pupil B: Oh, poor you. Sorry to hear that. Open your mouth, please. It’s red. And what’s your temperature?

Pupil A: 37, doctor.

Pupil B: I see. If you have got a sore throat, you should stay in bed. Drink hot milk with honey. Eat vitamins, onion and garlic. And you will feel better soon.

Pupil A: Thank you, doctor. Good-bye.

Pupil B: Good-bye.


 Teacher: Whose dialogue was the best one? If the dialogue was very good, raise red cards. If it was good, raise green cards, if it was not good, raise yellow cards.

(I think dialogue 1 was the best. As for me dialogue 2 was good. I think dialogue 3 was not good. Etc.)

  1. Conclusion. (A semantic map)

Teacher: We finish our lesson with fulfilling the map.
