Welcome to Russia and Tatarstan

Цель урока: формирование коммуникативной компетенции обучающихся на основе изученных лексических единиц, речевых и грамматических структур по страноведческой тематике.

Задачи урока.

Образовательные задачи:

1. Совершенствование лексических навыков по страноведческой тематике на уровне свободного высказывания в виде монологической и диалогической речи.

2. Тренировка обучающихся в умении вести общение на английском языке в предлагаемых ситуациях.

Развивающие задачи:

1. Формирование и развитие коммуникативных умений и навыков (умение пользоваться речью: монологической; умение слушать и слышать; умение участвовать в дискуссии);

2. Формирование и развитие учебно-организационных умений и навыков (взаимоконтроль, навыки самостоятельной работы, умение участвовать в коллективной познавательной деятельности, умение обобщать и анализировать).

Воспитательные задачи:

1. Воспитание чувства любви и уважения к своей стране и родному краю.

2. Развитие патриотических качеств личности школьника.

TE: To know more about Russia and Tatarstan let’s read some information about two countries and translate them into Russia:

RUSSIA is one of the biggest countries in the world. The full name is The Russian Federation. It is situated in Europe and Asia. Its total area is over 17 million square kilometers. The population of Russia is about 150 million people. Russia is a multinational country. The official language is Russian. Russia has a double- headed eagle as its symbol. The national flag of Russia is made up of three stripes: white, blue and red. The capital of Russia is Moscow. The main cities are St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhniy Novgorod, Samara. The President of the Russian Federation is Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. There are various types of climate on the territory of Russia. The winter is snowy and frosty, the summer is hot and sunny. Russian cuisine is indeed original. The main dishes of the traditional menu are blini, different soups like shchi, solyanka, pirozhky, pelmyeni with sour cream. People in Russia are kind and hospitable. Russia are proud of famous people. The names of Russian scientists and writers, poets, composers and painters are world-famous - Pushkin, Lermontov, Chekhov, Levitan. This chain can be endless.

• Tatarstan is one of the biggest republics of Russia.. Its population is about three million people. Climate is warm, sometimes hot summers and moderate cold winters. The main wealth of Tatarstan is oil. The President of The Republic of Tatarstan is Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov.

• There are two state languages in Tatarstan: Russian and Tatar. The Symbols of Tatarstan are: snow leopard, three - stripped flag: green-white-red, and the anthem. The capital of Tatarstan is Kazan One of the most beautiful Mosque in Kazan is Kul-Sharif. The main cities are Almetyevsk, N. Kamsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Zainsk,Bugulma.

• There are many traditional dishes in Tatarstan . Byalish, chak-chak, baursak, and of course tea with milk. The traditional holidays are Sabantyi, Naurus (means The New Year Day). Kazan is also famous for its classical and modern writers, scientists, who made a valuable contribution to literature and science (M. Djalil, Butlerov)
