The theme of the lesson: Unit 1. Communication. Body language.
Type of the lesson: Generalization and systematize the knowledge and method of activity
Aims: 1) Educational aim:
- To form intercultural-communicative skills in the frame of the sphere and theme;
- To activate their background knowledge in order to help them predict likely vocabulary in a given authentic text;
- To improve students' own ability to organize discourse.
2) Development aim:
- To develop students' critical thinking skills: - identifying central issues
- expressing problems clearly
- understanding cause and effect
- predicting consequences
- To develop perception, logic, imagination, and creativeness.
3) Upbringing:
- To teach the students how to behave themselves.
- To educate young people to be honest, truthful, open- hearted
- To teach students to be on friendly terms with their classmates

Warm up: Let’s begin our lesson from using our bodies. What does it mean?
It means you should explain a given sentences with a mime.
Bite your nails Blow your nose Brush your teeth
Clap your hand Comb your hair Fold your arms
Hold somebody’s hand Nod your head Shake your head
Raise your eyebrows Shake hands Shrug your shoulders
Check up home task: you had some words to learn, from the page 112, they are:
To reply in a rude way to someone you should be polite to – to talk back
To say things which silly and true – to talk nonsense
To talk about a particular subject- to talk + noun
To talk about important thing – to talk shop
An expression used to emphasize the adjective you are using – to talk about + adj.
To speak more loudly, so that other people can hear – to speak up
To say something which you quickly see is not true – to speak too soon
To say strongly and directly what you think about smth. – to speak + adj
To not speak to sb. because you have had an argument – not be on speaking terms
Can’t say anything in a foreign language – can’t speak a word of + language
Presentation: We are going to talk about the difference between tell and say:
Say and tell tell is usually followed by a person (the listener) He told me about his family. say is not followed by a person My mum said that I can go. If we want to add a listener, we can use say something to someone Did she say anything to you about it?
Look at the slide, let’s decide some quiz questions.
