5 мин. | Good morning, dear friends! Today we shall speak about many interesting things. We shall try to learn a new poem about books and use all word combinations which we know. Well, and now look at the blackboard and listen to me. Now repeat after me line by line, all together: I love to read books, It's my cup of tea. Books are full of ideas, Don't you agree? Books can teach and excite, Books can comfort and thrill, Books can show you the world, And will make you feel. Funny books make me laugh, Romances make me cry, Adventure books make me happy, I don't know why. Ok. Try to translate and say – what is this poem about? As you see, today we continue speaking about books. Open, please, your books at page17 and read me the title of our today’s lesson. - Would you like to read any books in English? - Have you ever read English books? Well, today we’ll read a short English story, but at first let’s work with unknown words (ex. 1). Read the words and try to find them in the picture. The picture will help you to guess about their meaning. I think you’re ready. Who will read me the words? P1, read, please. The picture you have here is an illustration from a book. Can you predict:
Now your task will be to read and check your guesses about the story. ( exercise 2) You have some words in bold. Do you know them? Can you guess them? Try to read the text and guess about the translation of these words from the context. Well, and now let’s read the story in a chain, check your translation. Well done. In exercise 3 you’re answer the questions and find clues in the text. Let’s read the question, translate it and find the answer to it. Who wants? Ok, you, please. Do you agree?
