Objectives of the lesson:
1.educational: present new words on the theme of the school things and learn to ask and answer the question “What is this?”
2.development: develop abilities in reading and writing in pair work and individual activity.
3.upbringing: bring up the feeling of love English language.
Type : the new lesson.
Methods : question-answer, practical, listening and work in pairs.
Interactions: Kazakh , Russian .
Aids of the lesson: pictures of the school things and of the singers, a tape recorder , CD, cards, a scheme.
Grammar: There is / isn’t, there are /aren’t . Articles: a, an- артикль.
Procedure of the lesson.
I . Organization moment.
a) Greeting
Good afternoon,children!How are you?
Are you ready to show your knowledge
2. Duty’s report.
Who is on duty today? What day of the week is it today?
What date is it today? Who is absent?
What is the season now?
Do you like winter?Why do you like winter?
3 -We shall begin our lesson with phonetic exercises, Look
at the blackboard,please and listen to me.
I like to read
I like to play
I like to study every day
I like to jump
i like to run
i like to play ,it's fun.
Repeat after me.
4 Today we have got guests.We are glad to see you .Now boys and girls,
you should introduce yourself using the song"What is your name?"
Let's start.
What is your name? My name isAltyn.
What is your name/ Iam attractive.
What is your name? My name is Daulet.
Now tell me please. I am dangerous..

IIi. The main stage
Our today’s theme is “What is this?”. We will speak about the indefinite articles: a, an, and use the names of the school things. We will ask and answer questions, sing the song, play games make up dialogues and so on . As you see we are going to have an interesting lesson today.
IV . New theme “What is this?”
1) Now we are going to learn some new words for school things:
a pen [pen]
a pencil [pensl]
a table [teibl]
a calculator [‘kalkju’leitә]
a bag [bag]
a desk [desk]
a dairy [‘daiari]
a paint brush [peint br^∫]
a computer [kәm’pju;tә]
a ruler [ru;lә]
a box [boks]
a chair [t ∫eә]
a ball [bo;l]
a school [sku;l]
2) Articles: a, an –белгісіз артикль.
1. We use “an” before the vowels: a, e, y, o, u. e.g: it is an apple.
It is an egg.
2. We use “a” before the consonants. E.g : it’s a pen. It’s a desk
3) Using the pictures pupils say the names of school things in chorus and individually:
- What’s this? –This is a chair. Show me this thing. You sit on the chair.
4) Holding a thing which is near at hand say : “What is it? –This is a book.” And pointing with the forefinger to the thing which is far say: “What is that? –That is a flower.” In this way identify “this” and “that” using series of things.
5) The question: “is it a desk?” -“Yes, it is / no, it isin’t.”
V I. Checking the understanding of the new material
1) Talk to your friend showing your things as in exercises 5 and 6.

2) Writing work : Ex 7-9
3) Make up dialogue as in exercise 10.
What is that? Is it a ruler? –yes , it is/ no, it isn’t.
