Novokuznetsk is a city in the Kemerovo region of Russia. The first by area in Kuzbass and the second by population, and also the oldest city of the Kemerovo region.
It is located in the south of Western Siberia, on both banks of the Tom River, in the southern part of the Kemerovo Region. The city was founded in 1618.
Attractions and recreational resources in this city are huge, but one of the brightest and at the same time historical objects of Novokuznetsk is the very first Skyscraper of Siberia.
Almost all the styles of Russian and Soviet architecture of the 18th and 21st centuries were imprinted on the streets of Novokuznetsk: baroque, classicism, neo-Russian and brick styles, Siberian and rational modernism, constructivism, mastery of classics, Stalinist empire, functionalism, glass and metal - 60's style, brutalism of the 70's and 80's, postmodernism of the 90's and, finally, a modern style, the name that will come up, probably later.
