T. You coped with this task very well. But you know "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. That's why every person must have his favourite thing to do in his spare time for a change, to relax and enjoy, to put his heart and soul into it. Tell everybody about your preferences and hobbies.

P.1 I am interested in collecting coins. I have been collecting them for 3 years. All my relatives and friends know about my hobby and when they go somewhere, they always bring me coins. So I have coins from 11 countries. It’s an interesting hobby and very helpful. I know what currency people use in different countries. Moreover it's interesting to observe what is depicted on the coins, and get to know some historical facts or realities. You can have a look at my collection.

P. 2 My hobby is collecting stamps. p keep my stamps in a stamp album. I collect stamps with the pictures of animals on them. Look at the beautiful stamps! Most of the stamps shone the name of the county they come from. British stamps never shone the name "Britain" but they always show a picture of Queen Elizabeth. Stamps often show a famous man, a woman, or an interesting place. Which stamps do you like?

P. 3 My hobby is singing. l have been singing from my early childhood. However, I began singing seriously only a year ago. I go to musical studio to sing. We have a nice teacher - Ludmila Anatolievna. I sing different songs but I like to sing merry songs. I not only sing, I also dance. Now I want to present a lovely song "Pasadena" to you.

"Pasadena"

Refrain: Come with me to Pasadena

Today at 10 we will arrive

I have been in Pasadena

For a great deal of my life.

Come with me to Pasadena

If you want to have some fun

Watch the dancing seniorinas

In the heat of the sun

l. When I Woke up today I

I heard someone say,

"Girl, it's raining and

They 're expecting snow"

And the morning I knew

What I had to do

Take the next plane

And finally go.

Refrain:

2. We are going to Greece

Take a trip to Paris

To escape from the

stress and the strain

Saving money each day

There must be a way

To get out in this gather again.

P. 4 My hobby is sports. I go in for basketball. I have been training for 2 years. Though I am not very tall for basketball yet, my trainer says I have not very bad results. Every day I do morning exercises and never miss our trainings. We often take part in school and town competitions. We do our best to win, but sometimes we lose and I try not to get upset because it's a game and we learn. Here are some of my awards.

P.5 I go in for dancing. When I was five my parents brought me to the Palace of Culture to learn dancing and now it's my favourite time spending. We dance different dances: folk and modern ones. We have wonderful costumes and usually take part in all town concerts. You may have a look at these pictures. I think dancing is not only interesting and learning it is also very useful. It helps me to be physically strong and to keep fit. Do you like dancing? I'd like to teach you an easy Mexican dance. Come here, please, and stand in a circle. Ready?

(Mexican Dance)

T. Thank you very much, Iulia. I hope everybody enjoyed dancing and you understand that hobby is very useful and sometimes can become the matter of your whole life, help you in your future profession. But I must admit that it is time to have our meal. What is your favourite food?

T. When you come back home, I guess you will tell about this excursion, tell me how you will be doing it.

P1. Kevin and Sharon arrived to watch the castle. They met an old man, who told them a funny story. The story was about the ghost of Lady Eleanor, a woman in a long white dress. She lived in the castle long ago and she jumped from the top of the tower when her husband died in the war. Kevin and Sharon were afraid but watched the castle. Kevin even tried to play funny tricks. It was he who saw a woman in a white dress several times. Sharon didn't believe him. Kevin ran away from the castle and they didn't know that it wasn't a real ghost. On the territory of the castle a film was directed.

T. Well, thank you very much. You are a great storyteller! Look! While we were on an excursion, we got some letters from your homes. Will you read them if they aren't too personal?

(Reading)

T. What would you reply? Will you tell about our excursion to the castle?

(composing a reply)

T. Thanks. Today is not a usual day: our first day in the camp, which almost came to the end. Let's finish it with our tradition and have a great pioneer fire. Sit comfortably and tell each other about our homes, some unusual things, our native countries.

P1. I'd like to tell you about my country. It's Japan. Japan is a small country but it is very rich. Japan is rich because it makes and sells many of our modern machines-cars, motorcycles, computers, televisions and radios. Perhaps, your family has got a Japanese car or a Japanese television.

The capital city of Japan is Tokyo. Tokyo is a very modern city. There are a lot of factories and tall buildings. In Japanese houses - there aren't any chairs or beds inside - people sit on mats and eat at small tables. In my country children love to watch modern cartoons on television, but they also learn a very old hobby, origami. In origami, children fold colored paper and make animals and birds.

P 2. Canada is the largest country in the American continent and the second largest county in the world. It has a population of 24 mln people. It's a multinational country because people from different countries of Europe - Britain, France and Germany immigrated here. It is a bilingual country. The majority of the population speak English but the second national language is French. Canada's largest city, Montreal is not the capital. The capital is Ottawa. Canada is also a very rich industrial and agricultural country. The national emblem of Canada is the maple leaf and the currency is the Canadian dollar.

P3. I live in Australia. It is one of the 7 continents of the world. 7 mln people live in Australia. They speak English because many of their families came from England 200 years ago. Australian farmers have very big farms. They have many sheep on the farms. Australian wool is very famous. There are crocodile farms too. Crocodiles are very dangerous and have very sharp teeth. There are many other interesting animals in Australia: wild dogs-dingo, kangaroos and koalas. Australia is an interesting country. Perhaps, one day you will go to Australia. Would you like to go?

P 4. Welcome to my sunny Italia. My country is a mixture of old and modern traditions. It has a highly developed industry and agriculture. There are two tiny countries on the territory of Italy: Vatican and San Marino. There is no man who does not know about Venice. It is a city of 117 tiny islands and 177 canals. Who hasn't heard of Italian high boots or hasn't eaten spaghetti or pizza? Who wasn't excited by a perfect play of an organ or hasn't seen modern Ferrari? Italy is also famous for its art: pictures, sculptures, buildings. Italian wine is known everywhere. If you come, you will love Italia forever.

III Заключительная часть:

T. East or West, home is best! It's good to be home. It's a pity but we must come back. Will you remember this day? Will you write a letter about it to Mary Brown?

It's Good to be Home

(a song)

A magical thing beside that we sing

The adventures are far away

But it is good to be home

With a friend that I know

It's a place that I want to stay

It's good to be home and never alone

But I've got my own good friends beside me

Wherever you are here I am happy you are near

You're so special to me / 2

T. I liked your work today and I do wish to visit your native countries

but a Canadian boy and a Japanese boy were the most active ones. I liked Ukrainian and French girls' work ... See you soon! Good-bye!
