THEME: THE LONGEST, THE BIGGEST……

AIMS OF THE LESSON:

  1. To encourage pupils vocabulary according to this theme
  2. To develop pupils writing and speaking
  3. To develop pupils outlook

VISUAL AIDS: textbooks, pictures, crosswords, tables, map of the world.

ORGANIATION PART (10min)

I-Greeting

-Good afternoon dear pupils. I’m glad to see you.

-Who is on duty today?

-Who is absent today?

II.Roll-call

I ask some questions about the day, date, and weather.

What day is it today?

What date is it today?

What’s the weather like today?

Are you ready for the lesson?

CHEKING HOMEWORK(min)

I-I ask new words. I have a ball and I through the ball to the pupils. They try to say the new words turn by turn.

II-I ask prowerbs from the students. The tell the prowerbs turn by turn.

 EAST OR WEST HOME IS BEST

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

A FRIEND IN NEED, AS A FRIEND INDEED.

If you have finished your proverbs, I want to begin our new lesson.

Let’s write down date, day, and new theme on your notebooks.

MAIN PART

Pre-activity

  1. I explain the degrees of adjectives to the pupils.

If adjectives have one syllable, we can add this suffixes.

Positive adjectives

Comparative adjectives

Superlative adjectives

If adjectives have two or more syllables, we can add these words.( more and the most)

After my explanation  they should complete this tables.

Make up the sentences using these adjectives

e.g. The Jaguar is the fastest animal

       The alligator is the most dangerous animal.

 

WHILE ACTIVITY(10min)

I-There is a text on page 83. I divide the pupils into 4 groups. Each group should read this text and match with these animals.(armadillo, vampire bat, jaguar, alligator)

II-each group has own text and they underline the adjectives.

e.g. long, fast, big, strong, small, slow……………

POST ACTIVITY

I-answer the questions

 1 What kind of transport is the best?

2 What kind of transport is the worst?

3 What country is the largest in the world?

4 How many continents are there? What are they?

5 What is the capital of England?

6 What is the capital of America?

7What is the capital of Germany?

CONSOLIDATION

If you have any question, you will ask from me.

PUT MARKS

5- Excellent

4-Good

3-Satisfaction

HOMEWORK(5min)

I-Learn by heart all new words
