Урок английского языка в 8 классе по теме « Are books media too?»

Цели урока: 1) Развивать аудитивные навыки и умения учащихся с опорой на аудиотекст.

2) Развивать лингвистическую догадку, логическое мышление

3) Развивать умение вести диалог-расспрос с использованием вербальных средств для запроса, уточнения и обобщения информации.

Оформление: компьютер, проектор, мультимедийная презентация

Ход урока:

1. Приветствие

Good morning! I’m very glad to see you today. Sit down, please.(Who is on duty today?)

2. Фонетическая разминка

To speak English accurately we should develop our phonetic skills. So, look at the screen, read and translate into Russian the words given to you. (Чтение слов по транскрипции)

3. Речевая разминка

W ell, now to refresh your memory complete the sentences with the pronouns

Today we’ll continue discussing very important question, I suppose, “Are books media, too?” You’ll have practice in speaking according to the theme, we’ll discuss books you like and you’ll have practice in listening and making dialogs according to the theme.

Well, let’s start. Your hometask was ex. 68 on p. 76. What do you think why books are still important and popular?

-For me books and wisdom are synonyms. Do you agree with me?

So, you should learn some new words and expressions in order to be wise. Ex.69, read the words out loud and translate them into Russian.

-Now, let’s see how these expressions are used in sentences. Ex.70. Read and translate.

OK. Let’s speak a little. What kind of books do you like to read? Do you think that reading makes people clever and wise? What kind of books do you prefer(printed books or e-books)? What do you think are books media, too?
