План-конспект урока по теме «What the future holds»

Цели и задачи урока:

• Систематизировать, расширить и обобщить знания учащихся по теме «What the future holds»

• Совершенствовать коммуникативную компетенцию учащихся и развивать у них метапредметные и межпредметные навыки.

• Совершенствовть умения и навыки устной речи с использованием опор на кластер, таблицу, тексты.

Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, видео- и аудиозаписи, презентация к уроку, раздаточный материал.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент:

T: Good morning, students. Take your seats. I'm glad to see you. Are you ready for the lesson? OK. Let’s begin our work. Our topic is «What the future holds». Look at the picture and say: What are we going to talk about?

S :I suppose we are going to talk about predictions and gadgets.

T:You’re right

T: So, students, we have great plans for today. We will speak, read, listen about gadgets, speak about our future predictions. We'll revise Zero and 1-st Conditional. Let's do our best!

2. Разминка:

T: First of all, let’s exercise our tongues. Repeat the poem after me, and then read it aloud.

Just Live

We can't predict the future.

We can't change the past.

Maybe we should just live each day

As if it will be our last.

T: What is the future? Can people predict the future?

3. Этап отработки лексических единиц.

Т: Now let’s remember the words on the topic “Predictions”. Look at the pictures and name the words.

Учащиеся называют слова по теме, изображенные на картинках.

Т: The next task for you is to complete the sentences with the given words.

4. Монологические высказывания

Т: Well done! And now watch a short video and then try to name as many things you have seen as possible.

Учащиеся просматривают небольшой видеофрагмент, а затем рассказывают о том, что они увидели.

We saw space stations, moon hotels, skyscrapers, flying cars, moon shuttles, unusual cities, different planets, high-speed trains, underwater cities.

T: And now, students try to describe the future, describe people’s life in 2100. Use the following phrases.

• I think that………

• I believe that……..

• People will have / live / go by /study at …

• There will be / won’t be …….

T:Technical progress has changed people’s life a lot. Nowadays we can’t do without such gadgets as mobile phones, computers and laptops.

Т: Which of these gadgets do you know? Look at the pictures! What is this?

S:I have…

T:Which of the gadgets 1-8 do you use? What for? Ex.1, p.48.

S: I use an e-book device to read electronic books. What about you? …

6. Аудирование.

T: Most teens are crazy about buying new devices. Advertisements on radio and TV help us make the right choice. Listen to the advertisement for a gadget and try to guess what it is?
