    Questions  to the  subject. Text:  Is  it  difficult  for you to learn English?

The aims of the lesson:

  a).  To learn pupils to put questions to the subject and to use it in their speech and to enrich pupils’ vocabulary.

  b) To develop pupils’ habits in making short conversations and to speak on the theme ‘’The weather in England.

    c) To develop pupils reading, speaking, writing, skills throw games, role plays.

    d).To teach pupils to guess the meaning of unfamiliar words from the context while reading the text ’’Is it difficult for you to learn English?’’.

The method of the lesson:

     Grope work, role play.games.

The kind of the lesson: Combining lesson

The types of the lesson: explaining a new grammar, asking questions, speaking on the material covered, playing games.

Visual aids of the lesson:   slides, video about weather, posters with words and   word combinations, pictures, cads.

1.Organization moment

 Greeting. The report of the pupil on duty.

-Who is  on duty today?

-Who is absent?

-What is the date today?

-What is the weather like today?

-What season is it now?

Are you ready for today’s lesson?

Well.Let’s begin our lesson.

What was your home task?

II. Asking Home work

Our home task was exercise 4 on.p54.Text:  After Lunch. To learn  by heart, new words and to speak on the topic :The weather in England.

I would like to check up your home work, open your copy books. Ok. You did your home work.Let’s begin Ex.4.on.p.54.

1.Don’t  watch television after 10.2.Don’t  read telexes and cables now.

3.Don’t write letters now.4.Don’t meet customers after  lunch.5. Don’ read this book.

So, how do we use the negative form of the Imperative Mood ?

Our next task was to learn by heart the text ‘’After lunch ‘’. Did you learn by heart the text?

They speak the text in a turn.P1 - P2, P2 –P3, P4 – P5, P6 – P7. P8 – P9, P10- P11.I’ll divide you into two groups. One of the group will speak on the topic’’ The weather of Kazakhstan and The other group will speak on the topic’’ The weather of England.

The  1st group has to put   questions to the 2nd group about the weather of England

The 2nd group has  to  put questions to the 1st group about the  weather of Kazakhstan.

Now I would ask   some questions to  both of groups.

Now I would ask some questions to both of groups.

1. Why is it never too hot or too cold in Britain?

-It is because of the sea.

2. What is the mild and damp climate of the British Isles good for?

-It is good for agriculture, vegetable, sheep and Cattle farm .

3. What is the best and driest season in Britain? –Spring.

Now . Let’s compare the weather of England and the weather of Kazakhstan.

Foggy, rainy, cloudy, smog, wet, nasty, little snow,

Very changeable, four seasons, cold, dump and unpleasant. Mild, the grass is green all the year

Continental, much snow, dry, seldom rain in summer, often rain in summer , cold wind and snowfalls in winter, hot summer. cold winter, rainy autumn

IV. Presentation of the new materials

Today I’ll explain you questions to the subject. How do you put question to the subject in Kazakh language? What question do you put on? we must put the questions of who and what in English language.

Examples:

-He is an engineer of our company.

- Who is an engineer of our company?

- He is.


-We have got a brown car.

-Who has got a brown car?

-We have got.

-Our manager writes letters every day.

-Who writes the letters every day?

-Our manager does?


-They did their homework.

-Who did their homework?

-They did.

V. Consolidation exercise

Now ,I’ll give you some sentences, you must put questions to the subject yourselves.

  1. Mr .Bell looks at my visiting card.

  2. I want to see your economist.

  3. He comes to the office at 9.

  4. I have got a large family.

  5. Nancy is the secretary of our company.

  6. Mr.Brown is the President of our company.

  7. My friend reads many cables every day.

  8. He is the manager of Bell and Co.

  9. I drink much coffee in the morning.

  10. Lavrov is a young man.

  11. The managers meet customers in the evening.

  12. Lavrov made a contract with our company.

  13. The weather is very changeable in England.

VI. Taking a new text. ‘’Is it difficult for you to learn English ?’’

a/ Vocabulary and pronunciation

To be tired - шаршау

To speak English - ағылшынша сөлеу

A foreign trade company - сыртқы сауда компанииясы

To have lessons - сабақ болу

To think - ойлану

Difficult -қиын

To discuss -талқылау

A problem -жағдай

To help - көмектесу

To have talks -келіс сөз жургізу

A language - тіл

b/.Word combinations:

1.I am to tired - мен сондай шаршадым

2. It’s difficult for me - маған қиыны........

3.It’s pleasure to speak English - ағылшынша сөйлеу тамаша

4.I don’t think so - мен олай деп ойламаймын

c/.Teacher: What is difficult for you to do? Asking questions or answering it.

P1: It’s difficult for me to translate the text. Etc. I’ll ask all the pupils.

d/.Reading the text ‘’Is it difficult for you to learn English?’’ in a turn.

Text: Is it difficult for you to learn English ?

Mrs Bell comes into the sitting room.

Mrs Bell : Tea or coffee, Mr Lavrov?

Lavrov: Tea , please I don’t drink coffee.

Mrs.Bell: Do you want milk in your tea ?

Lavrov: Yes ,thank you, but not very much.

Mrs.Bell: Are you too tired to speak English, Mr Lavrov ?

Lavrov: Who? .Me ? Oh, no. It ‘s always a pleasure to speak English .

Mrs.Bell: Your English is very good.

Lavrov: Thank you, Mrs Bell. I work for a foreign trade company and learn English in my office.

Mrs.Bell: How often do you have lessons?

Lavrov: We have four lessons every week.

Mrs.Bell: Is it difficult for you to learn English?

Lavrov: I don’t think so.

Mrs. Bell: Your work helps you , doesn’t it?

Lavrov: It certainly does. I often speak English at the talks and discuss different problems with our customers. And how many foreign languages do you speak, Mrs.Bell?

Mrs.Bell: Only one – French and not well.

VII .Making a up dialogue using the new word and word combinations. ‘’We discuss some business problems”

Group work. I’ll give them some sentences and they must put the sentences in the correct order and make up a dialogue.

The 1st group:

  • Good morning, I want to see your economist .

  • Good morning. Have you made an appointment ?

  • I’m afraid not. If Mr Lavrov looks at my visiting card he will receive me.

  • All right. Wait a minute…This way , please.

  • Hello, Mr Lavrov,

  • Hello Mr .Bell, Glad to see you.

  • I’m pleased to meet you again

  • Please, sit down. What can I do for you?

  • I’ve come to make a contract.

  • What kind of contract are you going to make? We have never had the pleasure of doing any business with your company.

  • That’s true. I hope the situation will change for the better in future.

  • I’m sorry. I don’t quit get you.

The 2nd group:

  • Good morning. I want to see your manager.

  • Good morning. Have you made an appointment?

  • Yes, I have.

  • All right, just a moment. Tea or coffee

  • Tea , please.

  • Do you want milk in your tea?

  • Yes, thank you

  • Is it difficult for you to speak English?

  • I don’t think so, It’s pleasure to speak English.

  • Where do you work?

  • I work for a trade company and learn English in my office.

  • Is it difficult for you to work for a foreign trade company?

  • Oh, no .It’s a pleasure to work there.

  • Do you think so.

  • I think so .

VIII. Group work. How many English proverbs do you know? . Then I’ll give them the next some new proverbs and they must give Kazakh equivalents of these proverbs:

  1. There is no smoke without fire.

  2. Everything is good in its season.

  3. There is no place like home.

  4. Promise little, do much.

IX. Home task. Your home task will be to translate the text « Is it difficult for you to learn English?» On. p 62.

Exercise 10.on.p.67.To learn by heart new words. To speak on the topic: The Sightseeing of England.
