Данная разработка раскрывает следующие вопросы:

«Olympic Games»

 

Оснащение:

• применение ИКТ технологий,

• доска,

• компьютер,

• мультимедийный проектор,

• программа Microsoft PowerPoint,

• картинки c Олимпийскими видами спорта.

Тема урока: «Знакомство с историей Олимпийских игр»

Тип урока: комбинированный

обучающиеся должны:

знать: лексический (1200-1400 лексических единиц) и грамматический минимум, необходимый для чтения и перевода (со словарем) англоязычных текстов профессиональной направленности.

уметь: - общаться (устно и письменно) на английском языке на профессиональные и повседневные темы;

- переводить (со словарем) англоязычные тексты профессиональной направленности;

- самостоятельно совершенствовать устную и письменную речь, пополнять словарный запас;

Общие компетентности, которые будут формироваться на уроке:

1. Осуществлять и использовать информацию, необходимую для эффективного выполнения профессиональных задач, профессионального и личностного развития.

1. Пользоваться иностранным языком как средством делового общения.

2. Логически верно, аргументировано и ясно излагать устную речь.

Формирование профессиональных качеств:

1. Внимательности;

2. Аккуратности;

3. Ответственности;

4. Добросовестности.

Цель урока: Ознакомление с историей Олимпийских игр

• образовательные цели: расширение знаний, кругозора студентов о спорте, тренировка лексики по теме « Спорт, Олимпийские игры »

• развивающие цели: развитие логического мышления, развитие долговременной памяти, внимания, речевых навыков, коррекция произносительных навыков, развитие поискового чтения.

• Воспитательные цели: Привитие интереса и любви к родному краю, к здоровому образу жизни и занятию спортом, воспитание умения выслушивать собеседника, работать в команде, стремиться к воспитанию профессионально важных личностных качеств обучающихся.

Основные задачи урока:

1. Развитие словарного запаса студентов;

2. развитие коммуникативной компетентности (умение брать интервью).

«Olympic Games»

  

Lesson objectives:

Skills development:

• рractising words according the topic of the lesson;

• reading for information;

• deducing the meaning of unknown words;

• expressing preferences.

Vocabulary:

Active: Winter and Summer Olympic Games, sport, fan, symbol, winner, flame, motto

 

1. Организация урока (3-5 мин.)

Teacher: Good afternoon, students! How are you?

Students: Good afternoon

Teacher: Today I hope we will have an interesting and a thrilling lesson. I think if you look at the board you will guess what we are going to speak about. (On the board there are different pictures of Olympic Games)

Teacher : Yes you are right we shall speak about Olympic Games. The theme of our lesson today is: «The history of the Olympic Games». The aim: The acquaintance of the history of the Olympic Games. You know that now Olympic Games are very popular theme. Why? What will happen in 2014?

-Possible answers: Olympic Games will be in our country in 2014.

Teacher: Look at the blackboard to learn some interesting facts about History of Olympic Games. Let’s read the text one by one. (раздаточный материал у каждого студента)

A Brief History of the Olympic Games

The first Olympic Games were held in 776 B.C. in Olympia, Greece. The Games took place every four years for nearly twelve centuries. They included many different events, such as sprint, boxing, wrestling, discus throw, long jump and others. All the cities in Greece sent best athletes to Olympia to compete in the Games. When the Games took place, all the wars and disputes stopped. So, the Olympic Games became the symbol of peace and friendship.

In 1896 the first modern Olympic Games took place and the educational value of sports for modern man based on Greek ideals.

Now, there are Summer and Winter Olympic Games. They are held separately. There are always several cities wishing to host the Games.

The International Committee of Olympic Games selects the most suitable city. Thousand of athletes, journalists and guests arrive to the Games and it takes great efforts to arrange everything.

Russia joined the Olympic movement in 1952. In 1980, Moscow hosted the twenty-second Olympic Games. Our sportsmen won many gold, silver and bronze medals.

In 2014 Sochi will be the first Russian city to host the Winter Olympics Games

Teacher: Nowadays, we hosted the X Winter Regional Sports Competitions “Ural Snow-Storm” (Уральская метелица)

Teacher: Thank you. You know, we have many good sportsmen not only in Bredy, but also in our technical college. Let play a bussines game «Press-conference». You are all journalists and correspondents from newspapers, magazines and TV. Today we have a guest. This is Kseniya Malisheva, the student of the second course of our agricultural technical college. Her future profession is a cook and confectioner. Now she is a good sportsman. She will tell us about herself, and give you an interview.

Kseniya: I am Kseniya Malisheva, the student of the second course of our technical college. My hobby is sport. I go in for boxing. This event gives me health, strength and energy. I think that sports helps me in my life and in my studying very much. It brings up and trains me to be responsible, disciplinary, communicative. Sport is a big part of my life. I especially like to participate in boxing competitions. My friends and I go to another regions with our trainer, meet new people, make many friends and improve our sport abilities and results, I would really like to represent my country internationally.

Teacher: Students? Your questions, please. (St. 1,2,3,4)

Teacher: Thank you, Kseniya. Glad to see you again. Good luck to you!

Teacher: I offer students to analyze their progress during the lesson. Ребята, как вы сами оцениваете свои успехи? (Пусть каждый даст себе оценку и выставит отметку за урок)

6. Домашнее задание (10 мин.)

1. Retell the text the Olympic Games. Make up your own story, (topic) about sport on theme: “Sport in my life” (in writing) using the Exercise on pages 205-206 book “Happy English – 3”

2. As you are students of economic an account calculation’s course, try to make up a sport account of X Winter Sport Competitions “Ural snow-storm in Bredy” as economists. Chose your own task, as you can do it.

Use the text on page 190-191 “Happy English – 3” in writing.
